Jeep destroys pole in Zion Grove
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:42 AM, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company and Shenandoah ALS to Green Mountain Road and Red Ridge Road in North Union Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Chief 581 and Engine 582 were advised of a single vehicle accident involving a utility pole with one person injured. The injured person was reported to be at a nearby residence. Schuylkill Hose hosts 63rd Schuylkill County Firemen’s Convention
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – The 63rd Schuylkill County Firemen’s Convention week-long celebration culminated with a grand parade through Schuylkill Haven Saturday afternoon. The Convention was hosted by the Schuylkill Hose Company #2 and included events ranging from a memorial mass, training seminar, history night and the parade. The parade brought firefighters from multiple counties to the borough. Fire apparatus were inspected and judged at the Schuylkill Haven High School before the parade. Dog perishes in Schuylkill Haven area fire; basement fire extinguishes itself
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just as the 63rd Annual Schuylkill County Firemen’s Association Convention prepares to take over Schuylkill Haven on Saturday, the fire department battled a house fire in North Manheim Township Thursday afternoon. Shortly after 2:30 PM on Thursday, September 14, the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 94 Weavers Road in North Manheim Township for a reported house fire. Chief 63-02 went responding and was advised that the caller was reporting smoke from the garage with a dog still inside the residence. Nuremberg-Weston “Give it Hell” 7k Run/Walk held on Saturday
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – On Saturday morning runners and walkers gathered at the Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company on Hazle Street for the first annual “Give it Hell” 7k Run/Walk. Driver flown from crash on Frackville/Saint Clair “Grade”
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just before 10AM on Tuesday, September 5, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Saint Clair Fire Department and Schuylkill EMS to Route 61 Northbound on the “Grade” between Saint Clair and Frackville for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Original reports were given to responding crews that there was one vehicle into a tree with no one seen around the vehicle and the vehicle was smoking. A second call gave EMS updated information that the male driver was unresponsive in the vehicle and possibly taking a seizure. Aeromedical transport was placed on standby. Tractor trailer takes out hydrant, spills diesel throughout Pottsville
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:30 PM on Thursday, August 10, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a Pottsville Fire Chief to the area of Centre Street and Mauch Chunk Street for a report of fluid on the roadway. P-6 was advised of a report of a tractor trailer that had a ruptured fuel tank in the area and was still driving on Centre Street. Callers were reporting a large amount of diesel fuel on the roadway. Rubbish burns near Hazle Township building, PPL sent to scene
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Just before noon on Thursday, August 10, Hazle Township Fire/Rescue was dispatched to the area of PNC Bank on Susquehanna Blvd. in Hazle Township for a wire down. Moments later, the tones were again set off for the same area on reports of a commercial structure fire. First responding units were advised of conflicting reports of a commercial building on fire or rubbish burning next to the building. Nuremberg puts quick hit on Eagle Rock house fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 12:20 PM on Sunday, August 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Nuremberg-Weston Vol. Fire Company and Sheppton-Oneida Vol Fire Company to 174 North Iroquois Circle in Eagle Rock (Black Creek Township) for a reported house fire. Nuremberg-Weston “Give it Hell” 7K Run/Walk
The Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company is hosting the first annual “Give it Hell 7K” Run/Walk on September 9. This 7K (4.3 mile) race will start at 9 AM at the Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company on Hazle Street in Weston, PA. The race will travel through the villages of Nuremberg and Weston before finishing at the Fire Company. The course is primarily a road course and will consist of gentle hills and flat areas.
