Saint Clair quells kitchen fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 6:22 PM on Wednesday, March 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Saint Clair Fire Department to 16 Ann Street in Saint Clair Borough for a reported house fire. Chief 700 went responding and was advised that the caller was reporting a kitchen fire in the residence and all occupants were evacuating. The Chief radioed shortly thereafter that he was on scene with a kitchen fire and had knocked the bulk of the fire down. Car slams into school bus in Fairlane Village Mall parking lot
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 12:21 PM on Wednesday, March 8, Pottsville City Fire (Stations 30, 40 & 60) were dispatched with Schuylkill EMS to the Fairlane Village Mall parking lot near Boscov’s for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. P-2 responded and was advised of a three vehicle crash involving a school bus in the middle of the parking lot. Crews arrived on the scene and found three vehicles in the parking lot. Fire rips through Gilberton home
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 2:01 AM on Monday, March 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm to 14 Draper Street in Gilberton for a house fire. The first alarm included Fire District 44 (Gilberton), District 43 (Frackville), Englewood, Mahanoy City (West End), Shenandoah (Rescue Hook & Ladder) and Frackville EMS. Snow squall leads to MCI on I81 between Delano and McAdoo
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 3:35 PM on Friday, March 3, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Districts 6 (Delano Twp.,), 26 (Ryan Twp.) and 49 (McAdoo) to Interstate 81 in the area of mile marker 135 Northbound for a motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles. Additional calls were reporting multiple vehicles involved with possible entrapment. First responding units were advised that 9-1-1 was now receiving reports of up to thirty vehicles involved with entrapment; units were advised to anticipate a Mass Casualty Incident. NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Just before 11 PM on Saturday, February 11, the Shamokin Fire Bureau was dispatched to the area of 337 West Spruce Street Street in the City for a report of an apartment building fire. The address was quickly updated to 45 South 5th Street for a working fire in apartment 4. Crews arrived on scene to find a working fire on the third floor of a large apartment building. Vehicle strikes rock, injures one in East Union Township
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Sheppton-Oneida firefighters were dispatched at 9:22 AM on Tuesday, February 7 by Schuylkill County 9-1-1 to the area of 489 Main Boulevard in East Union Township for a vehicle crash with injuries. Shenandoah EMS was also due on the response. Rescue Engine 9-10 went responding and was advised of a single vehicle crash with one injury. Head-on crash outside Nuremberg
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 6:11 PM on February 4, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company to the area of 22 Nuremberg Mountain Road in Black Creek Township for a vehicle crash with unknown injuries. Luzerne Ambulance 577 (Sugarloaf) was also due on the call. Engine 582 and Engine 583 responded to the crash and found a two vehicle head-on collision in the middle of the mountain separating Nuremberg and Fern Glen. Eight suffer smoke inhalation at W. Hazleton basement fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 4AM on Saturday, January 28, West Hazleton Fire 183 and EMS 583 were sent to 13 Jackson Avenue in West Hazleton Borough for a structure fire. Crews arrived on scene to find a working basement fire. Two lines were stretched off 183 Engine 1 while 183 Engine 2 laid supply line into the scene. 183 Truck and 183 Rescue staged behind Engine 1 and sent their crews to the building.
