Two injured in three vehicle crash
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 21, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched West Hazleton Fire & EMS with APTS Medic 11 to the unit block of East Broad Street for a motor vehicle crash with fluids down and unknown injuries. 183 Engine 2 and Medic 11c responded to the scene and found one vehicle had crashed in to two parked vehicles which were now pushed onto the sidewalk. Shenandoah makes quick hit on fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 4:01 PM on Monday, July 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shenandoah Fire Department, Shenandoah ALS and Mahanoy City Rescue 993 (West End) to 130 East Coal Street in Shenandoah for smoke in a house. Units responding were advised that the call was being upgraded to a house fire as a report of a grease fire in the kitchen was received. Medic 6403 arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire with smoke showing from the single family dwelling. Female dies in fire outside St. Clair
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 6:30 AM, the Saint Clair Fire Department was dispatched to 321 Chestnut Street in the Arnots Addition section of New Castle Township for a reported house on fire with entrapment. Chief 700B went responding and was advised 9-1-1 got a call from a female stating her house was on fire and “she was burning up.” Chief 700B reported he had smoke showing from a distance. Fire destroys New Coxeville garage
CARBON COUNTY, PA – Just after 2:30 AM on Wednesday, July 8, Carbon County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to 1114 Berwick Street (State Route 93) in the Village of Coxeville, Banks Township for a garage on fire. First arriving units found a one and a half story detached garage with heavy fire showing from the upper floor. Carbon house fire brings extra tankers
CARBON COUNTY, PA – Around 7:30 AM on Thursday, July 2, Carbon County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm to 917 Railroad Drive in Packer Township for a dwelling fire. First arriving units found a working fire that was rapidly progressing. A second alarm plus a tanker task force was requested in to the scene. Weatherly Engine 20-13 positioned in the driveway on the “D” side of the home and multiple lines were stretched. Former Pottsville PD chief laid to rest
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A procession of police cruisers, fire engines and ambulances led the vehicle carrying Joseph Murton V to his final resting place at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Pottsville. Pottsville Fire Department Ladders 21 & 51 set up an arch in front of City Hall, where Murton served the City as a police officer for 42 years. Murton retired from the Pottsville Police in 2013 as Chief, a position he held for 11 years. Murton was also a life member of the Humane Fire Company and a member of the Pottsville Lions Ambulance. NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 11:00 AM on Monday, March 23, Northumberland County 9-1-1 transmitted the 110 Box to the 1200 Block of West Walnut Street in Coal Township for a reported dwelling fire. First arriving units found a working rowhome fire with fire in the attic. A second alarm was immediately transmitted. Incoming units were advised to leave room in front for the truck. Carbon barn fire goes to second alarm
CARBON COUNTY, PA – Around 5:45 PM on Thursday, March 5, Carbon County 9-1-1 dispatched District 4 (Franklin Twp.) and Lehighton ALS to the area of 4595 Interchange Road (SR 209) for a working structure fire. Chief 401 responded and was advised of multiple calls reporting a working barn fire off Route 209. Police arrived on scene and confirmed a fully involved barn fire with limited access. East Union crash reported to have entrapment
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 7:19 AM on Wednesday, March 4, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 9 to the area of 489 Main Boulevard in East Union Township for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Shenandoah ALS were also dispatched. Chief 9 arrived on the scene with Engine 09-10 and Squad 09-70 and found a two vehicle crash with one vehicle on its side on an embankment.
