Ringtown rollover yields minor injuries
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 8:15 PM on Friday, February 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 30 (Ringtown Valley) with Shenandoah Engine 742, Ringtown BLS and Shenandoah ALS to Ringtown Boulevard and Reservoir Road in Union Township for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Responding units were advised of a single vehicle crash that involved a rollover and had people trapped in the vehicle. While on the way, responders were advised of additional calls reporting all occupants were out of the vehicle. 7 patients flown from Rush Twp. crash
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – 7 aeromedical helicopters were brought into McAdoo this afternoon to transport patients from this crash in Rush Township. One patient was heavily trapped in the car and 10 people were traveling in the van at the time of impact.

Sheppton handles two MVAs in two mile stretch
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Sheppton firefighters responded to a rollover with injuries this morning on Route 924. While on scene, a second call was dispatched two miles down the road for a rollover with entrapment. No entrapment was found on either incident and both drivers sustained minor injuries.

Helmet cam: Working fire in Ashley, PA
Hanover Rescue and Truck was alerted to respond on the first alarm assignment into Ashley Borough on a reported house fire in the Trailer Park. The Rescue Company was returning from a previous MVA in the first due, and had arrived with the first due rescue engine from Ashley to find a mobile home with smoke showing. The rescue crew split up providing search, fire attack and ventilation. Crews removed a dog from the house, and moved to the fire room in the rear of the trailer. 2nd alarm fire at same Mahanoy City house within three weeks
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just before 3:30 AM on Tuesday, January 20, a still alarm was dispatched to 12 South D Street in Mahanoy City for an automatic fire alarm. While that dispatch was going out, another call was received reporting a working house fire with possible entrapment at that location. The entire Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched. Engine 451 took the front of the building and secured a water supply at D and Centre Streets. Engine 465 positioned in front of 451 and secured a water supply at D and Pine Streets. Helmet cam video: Plymouth house fire
Hanover Rescue (Luzerne County, PA) was alerted as part of the first alarm assignment with the Plymouth Fire Department around 1400 hours on January 8 to Vine St in Plymouth Borough as the RIT Company. While staffing, Nanticoke City Rescue 158 was also alerted to respond as another RIT. Rescue 137 arrived and was sent to work sending crews into both sides on the double block home. One dog was removed by the rescue crew, and other pets removed by the Plymouth Engine crews. Driver ejected on the Aristes Road
COLUMBIA COUNTY, PA – Around 8:15 AM on Thursday, January 8, Columbia County dispatched Stations 350 (Aristes) and 330 (Wilburton) with Schuylkill Engine 30-15 (Ringtown Valley) and Northumberland MICU 93 to the 1000 Block of Aristes Road in Conyngham Township for a motor vehicle accident with rollover. Tanker 353 went responding with Chief 350 and was advised of a rollover with one patient ejected from the vehicle. They arrived on scene shortly after and found a vehicle that appeared to roll multiple times with one person lying in the roadway. Upper Macungie Fire Marshal honored in LODD Funeral
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – On Tuesday, November 25, the life of Samir P. Ashmar, 51, was celebrated at the Bethany Church in Wescosville. Sam passed away in the evening of Thursday, Novermber 20, after responding the a medical assist call earlier in the day. Many family, friends and firefighters gathered at the church early on Tuesday. Respects were paid to the deceased and family prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.
