Mahanoy City garage catches fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – On Monday, July 2, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department to 439 East South Street for a reported garage fire. The first alarm assignment also included Frackville Ladder 43-20, Altamont for the Rapid Intervention Team and Mahanoy City EMS. Chief 459 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire in a large garage. The chief requested the first engine lay in from 4th Street and Mahanoy Avenue. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 3:00PM on Friday, June 22, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Frackville, Altamont and Englewood Fire Companies with Frackville BLS and Shenandoah ALS to The Schuylkill Mall in the area of the K-Mart Garden Center for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Medic 6403 went responding and was advised of one patient with injuries from the airbag and it was unsure what the vehicle struck. Mahanoy City makes quick hit on house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 7:33 PM on Wednesday, June 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Altamont fire company for their RIT to 24 West Spruce Street in Mahanoy City for a reported house fire. Citizens Tower 456 was the first rig on the street and was given additional that police were on scene reporting smoke showing and oxygen cylinders inside. One killed in Nurermberg rollover
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – One person was killed in an overnight accident outside Nuremberg. Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Nuremberg-Weston Fire and Nuremberg EMS to 318 Hazle Street, Black Creek Township for a vehicle accident with unknown injuries just after 8:30AM on Saturday, June 2. Deputy Chief 582 arrived on the scene and found the accident to be off the Nuremberg by-pass. The chief found a single vehicle accident with one vehicle on its roof and down an embankment. MAYDAY declared at four alarm fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 31, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department to 20 West Main Street in their borough for a reported commercial structure fire. The fire was reported to be at Schuylkill Gun Works, a local firearms retailer. First arriving crews found heavy fire showing from the rear of the gun shop which was located in the middle of a row in the downtown business district. Bathroom fire quickly doused in the patch
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 9:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the West Mahanoy Township Fire Department (William Penn, Shenandoah Heights and Altamont) as well as Squrt 745 from Shenandoah to 529 Mount Olive Boulevard in the Lost Creek section of the township for a dwelling fire. Altamont Engine 367 was the first unit responding and was advised of a fire in the bathroom. Sugarloaf finds large fuel spill after MVA
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 6:00 PM, Sugarloaf Fire and EMS along with APTS Medic 11 were dispatched to Interstate 81 northbound at the 145.7 mile-marker for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Medic 11G and Sugarloaf Chief 1 responded and advised of a car versus tractor trailer with unknown injuries and fluids down. Additional calls were being receiving reporting possible entrapment. 11G arrived on the scene and confirmed a car versus tractor trailer with everyone out of the vehicles. Helmet Cam Video: One trapped in Ringtown MVA
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 3:45 PM on Monday, May 14, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Ringtown Valley Fire & Rescue, Ringtown Ambulance and Shenandoah ALS to Ringtown Boulevard and Pattersonville Road for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Medic 6401 responded and was advised of a two vehicle accident with at least two patients and one entrapped. Medic 6404 was quickly added to the assignment.
