Hazle Twp. finds car ripped in half, one trapped

Fire/Rescue and APTS Medic 11 to 457 Susquehanna Blvd. (State Rt. 93) in front of the Radio Shack for a vehicle into a pole with reported injuries. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 4:30 PM on Wednesday, August 17 Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched units to the intersection of Golden Key Road and Schochary Road in Lynn Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Stations 17 (New Tripoli) and 71 (Northwestern EMS) were dispatched. Chief 1701 signed on with Lehigh County 9-1-1 and was advised of a two vehicle accident with one female complaining of a leg injury. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 7:30 PM on Friday, August 12, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Station 26 (Tri-Clover, Orefield) to the area of PA 309 and Village Road in South Whitehall Township for an automobile fire. Chief 2601 went responding and was advised that multiple calls were received for a passenger car pulled off to the side of the road that was on fire. Allentown investigates suspicious powder
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Hazmat crews from Allentown were dispatched late in the morning on August 9 to investigate a suspicious powder found in an envelope. The Allentown Fire Department was dispatched around 11:00 AM for a report of an unknown white powder found in an envelope received at a local business. The business, Dorward Wholesale, was located at 1130 Hanover Avenue in the City. Engine 5 responded and staged in a nearby parking lot while the Hazardous Materials Unit was requested. Three injured on Cedar Crest Blvd
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – After 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 11 (Greenwalds) and 62 (Cetronia) to Orefield Road and Cedar Crest Boulevard for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 1112 and Medic 6290 responded to the scene and arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one vehicle in the roadway and one vehicle into the nearby woods. Allentown fire hits 3rd alarm
ALLENTOWN, PA – A fire broke out in the third floor of a dwelling Friday afternoon. City firefighters were dispatched around 3:20 PM on July 29 to 14th and Chew Streets for a dwelling fire with possible entrapment. The box included Engine 4, Engine 9, Engine 10, Truck 1 and Battalion 2. Apparatus responding from the Central Station reported smoke showing from 11th and Chew. Rollover causes large oil spill
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A tractor trailer trying to merge onto Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township lost control and flipped onto its side in the early morning hours of Friday, July 29. The trailer was carrying over 7,000 gallons of used motor oil. As the truck careened out of control, it struck the median ripping open the tank and allowed the contents to flow freely. Tractor trailer lands on its side
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A tractor trailer carrying cases of water flipped onto its side in Upper Macungie Township around 6:30 AM on Thursday, July 21. Chief 5601 came upon the accident on Nestle Way and notified Lehigh County 9-1-1 that he would need Fire and EMS services on the scene. Station 8 (Fogelsville), 56 (Upper Macungie) and 62 (Cetronia EMS) were dispatched for the MVA with rollover. Victim takes off during water rescue
NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – At 15:15 hours on Tuesday, July 19, water rescue personnel were requested to the Lehigh River in Northampton Borough for a water rescue. Fire 42 (Northampton), Fire 47 (Lehigh Township), EMS 49 (Northampton Regional) and Lehigh County Station 40 (Whitehall – Cementon) were dispatched. 4261 was on scene with a male in a white shirt in the river who had submerged under the water. Jeep cruises into Tamaqua home
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 6:00 PM on July 10, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Tamaqua Fire Department, Citizens and South Ward fire companies, and Tamaqua EMS to the intersection of West Broad Street and Catawissa Street in Tamaqua for a motor vehicle accident involving a car into a house.
