Crews search Lehigh River for missing woman
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Rescuers from multiple fire companies worked together to search for a missing woman along the Lehigh River in North Whitehall Township. At 8:25 PM on Wednesday, May 26, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 12 (Laurys Station), 22 (Schnecksville), 67 (Northern Valley EMS), North Whitehall Rescue and Northampton County Station 47 (Lehigh Township) to the Treichlers Bridge on Route 145 for a swift water rescue. NOVA holds annual open house
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Members of the community came together on Sunday, May 15, to enjoy a fun-filled day at the Northern Valley Ambulance Open House. Attendees were treated to demonstrations, games, food and other information. Starting at 1PM, children were able to play games within the station or go outside and look at a group of fire trucks and ambulances. In one demonstration, members of the Neffs Volunteer Fire Company raised their aerial and rappelled from the bucket. West Hazleton fire goes two alarms
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 5 PM, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched West Hazleton Fire Station 24 and Hazle Township Fire Station 10 to 201 East Green Street in West Hazleton for a reported structure fire. Chief 244 arrived on the scene and found heavy fire showing from the Bravo side of a two and a half story duplex. The chief assumed command and requested a second alarm be struck. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Station 24 (Slatington) were dispatched shortly after 9 PM to the area of the Slate Bowl Bowling Alley on PA Route 873 for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Northern Valley EMS (Medic 67) was also dispatched. Chief 2401 (K. Weaver) was advised of a two vehicle accident in the area with at least one person injured and the vehicles still in the roadway. One trapped in South Whitehall
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 5:30 PM, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 11 (Greenwalds), 32 (Woodlawn) and EMS 62 (Cetronia) to 15th Street and the US 22 interchange for a motor vehicle accident with rescue. Chief 3201 went responding and was advised of a two car MVA with one person trapped with a head injury. Rescue 1141 and Engine 3212 arrived on the scene to find one car with heavy damage and one person needing to be extricated. Two injured in Hanover Twp. accident
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – As our photographer was clearing the Catasauqua fire, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 33 (Han-Le-Co) and 75 (Northampton Regional EMS) to Airport Road and Lloyd Street in Hanover Twp. for a motor vehicle accidents with injuries. Rescue 3341 went responding and was advised of a three vehicle accident with at least one person injured. Units arrived to find a three vehicle accident with two injured. Firefighters make quick work of Catasauqua fire
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 2 PM on Friday, firefighters from Stations 2 (Catasauqua) and 18 (North Catasauqua) were dispatched to 730 Third Street in Catasauqua for a dwelling fire. First responding units were advised the caller was reporting smoke and flames in the attic. Lehigh County 9-1-1 was also advising they were receiving multiple calls reporting the fire. Crews arrived on-scene to find a 2.5 story apartment building with smoke showing from the roof. A second alarm was struck for manpower. The fire was extinguished within minutes. Mahanoy City firefighters find house heavily involved
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Mahanoy City and Frackville were dispatched shortly before 3 AM to 915 East Pine Street in Mahanoy City for a dwelling fire. MCPD Unit 94 arrived on scene and reported a fully involved rowhome and requested a second alarm. Fire units arrived and the fire quickly escalated to a third alarm fire. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from three counties spent the afternoon of Wednesday, March 30 battling a three alarm dwelling fire in Slatington Borough.
