No access to fire in Lower Macungie

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Lower Macungie Twp. were dispatched in the early morning hours for reports of a structure fire off Sauerkraut Lane.  Callers from miles away were reporting a large glow in the area.  Chief 30 arrived on scene confirming a fulling involved structure fire with limited access.  The chief requested brush units and tankers to help contain brush fires around the structure.  With the limited access and the state of the fire, it was decided to let the fire burn and protect the exposures.  Crews were on scene well into the morning.

Fire rocks New Ringgold home

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from three counties gathered to battle a blaze in the borough of New Ringgold on Sunday, March 27. At 21:44 hours, Schuylkill County 911 dispatched the first alarm to 301 Hughes Street for a reported house fire. The initial card included Fire Districts 55 (New Ringgold), 37 – Station 1 (West Penn Twp.), 42 (Deer Lake) and 56 (Orwigsburg) along with New Ringgold EMS. Fire destroys Hanover Twp. garage

NORTHAMTPON COUNTY, PA – Just before 7PM on Sunday, March 27, Northampton County 911 dispatched Fire and EMS 15 (Hanover Twp.) to 3930 Post Drive in Hanover Twp. for a reported garage fire attached to a dwelling. Captain 1554 went responding and advised he had smoke in the area. Chief 1551 was advised on the conditions and requested an engine from Fire 53 (Hecktown). 1554 arrived on the scene, confirmed a worker and established Fire 15 Command. Couple trapped under tractor trailer in Lowhill Twp.

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A husband and wife couple was trapped in their car when a tractor trailer rolled over onto them at the intersection of Route 100 & Kernsville Road in Lowhill Township.  Crews from Upper Macungie Township, Schnecksville and Lower Macungie Township responded with EMS crews from Northwestern, Cetronia and Kutztown. Lehigh Valley MedEvac was also called to the scene.  Extrication took over an hour and both occupants were flown to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest with non life-threatening injuries. Fire damages pizza joint in Lehigh Twp.

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – At 2222 hours on Saturday, March 12, Northampton County 911 dispatched a local alarm to 4613 West Mountain View Drive, Mama’s Pizza, in Lehigh Township for a commercial structure fire. The local alarm included Lehigh Twp. Station 47, Walnutport Truck 4421, Allen Twp. Tender 4531, Laury’s Station Tanker 1221 and Northampton Regional EMS 49. Driver finds himself “hanging by a wire” in Alburtis

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – At 22:52 hours on Saturday, March 5, Lehigh County dispatched Station 1 (Alburtis), Rescue 2541 (Trexlertown) and EMS 66 (Macungie) to 112 North Main Street in Alburtis for a motor vehicle accident with rescue. Rescue 141 responded immediately upon the dispatch and was advised of a one vehicle accident, car into a pole, with one person still in the vehicle. Girardville loses block in 4-Alarm fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – In the evening hours of February 23, Girardville firefighters were dipatched to Main Street for a report of a structure fire.  Crews arrived to find a basement fire with light smoke from the rear of the row.  The fire rapidly grew out of control and multiple alarms were requested.  A team of firefighters were trapped in a third floor room when a piece of furniture fell over and blocked their exit and they began to run low on air. Barn destroyed as Lehigh Twp. catches second job of the day

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – As firefighters were picking up from a dwelling fire on Lehigh Drive in Lehigh Township, command noticed a large column of smoke in the distance. Crews went to investigate and found a barn with heavy fire throughout. Check the details on the earlier fire here The second fire was located at 4730 South Cypress Drive, just 0.8 miles from the first fire. Lehigh Township firefighters make quick work of dwelling fire

NORTHAMTPON COUNTY, PA – Firefighters were dispatched to 4555 Lehigh Drive in Lehigh Township for a possible dwelling fire at 6:26 a.m. on Sunday, February 13. The local alarm included Lehigh Township Station 47, Walnutport Truck 4421 (Lehigh County 2931), Allen Township Tender 4531 and Northampton Regional EMS. A caller reported fire on the side of an unoccupied house, and Chief 4751 was advised that it sounded like he was going to encounter a working fire. 4755 quickly confirmed the working fire. Allentown gas explosion kills 5

ALLENTOWN, PA – Shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 residents of Allentown reported a glow in two homes at the corner of North 13th Street and West Allen Street. Moments later the houses exploded. Allentown City Communications began receiving numerous calls regarding the explosion and sent the box. Original units included Battalion 2, Engines 4, 9 and 10 along with Truck 1. Communications reported to Battalion 2 that they had the explosion on the street camera and had a fireball showing.
