Second alarm struck in Shenandoah; ruled accidental
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 6:39 PM on Tuesday, January 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a first alarm assignment to 238 South Jardin Street in Shenandoah for a house fire. Fire District 64 (Shenandoah) and 48 Station 5 (Mahanoy City – West End) were due on the alarm. First responding crews were advised of a possible kitchen fire. EMS from Shenandoah ALS arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the first floor and then located heavy fire to the rear. Plow truck catches fire at Hershey facility
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – At 4:33 AM on Tuesday, January 8, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazle Township Fire and Sugarloaf EMS to 6 Scotch Pine Drive in Hazle Township for a vehicle fire. 141 Engine 3 was advised that multiple reports were received indicating a plow truck on fire in the parking lot of Hershey Company. Hazle Twp. firefighter Gould arrived on scene shortly after and confirmed the report of a fully involved truck fire. Engine 3 arrived on scene and stretched a line to begin extinguishment. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 3:56 PM on Saturday, January 5, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent Fire District 64 (Shenandoah) and District 48 Station 5 (West End – Mahanoy City) to 629 West Penn Street in Shenandoah for smoke in a house. First responding units were advised of a call reporting smoke in the attic of this residence. Squrt 64-20 arrived on the scene and found smoke showing from the eaves of the two and a half story residence and declared a working fire. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – At 7:16 PM on Sunday, December 16, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent a first alarm assignment out to 1490 South Church Street in Hazle Township for a reported commercial building fire. The box included Hazle Township Fire/Rescue, APTS Medic 11 and McAdoo BLS. Hazle Chief 4 was advised of multiple calls received reporting a fire at Triple J Trucking including a call from an alarm company for the location. Garage fire quickly extinguished in Shenandoah
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 10:32 PM on Wednesday, December 12, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched District 64 (Shenandoah) and District 48 Station 5 (West End – Mahanoy City) to the area of East Penn Street and North White Street in Shenandoah for a garage fire. Police arrived shortly after dispatched to find a working fire in a single story garage in the 100 Block of East Penn Street. Police had smoke showing from the garage door. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Around 9 AM on Wednesday, December 5, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent Fairview Township and Wright Township Fire to 181 Gracedale Avenue in Fairview for a residential structure fire. Additional dispatches relayed that police were reporting fire through the roof. A second alarm was dispatched with Hanover Twp., Nanticoke, Slocum Twp. and Ashley however only Hanover and Nanticoke responded to the scene. Fire destroys popular Hazleton restaurant
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Shortly before 10:30 PM on Thursday, November 1, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazleton City Fire to 250 South Church Street in the City for a reported commercial structure fire. Chief 2 was advised of multiple calls reporting fire through the roof of the Beltway Diner. Units arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and flames showing from the roof of the single story restaurant. Arson job damages former American Legion
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – On Tuesday, October 30, around 4:30 PM, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazleton City Fire and APTS Medic 11 to the area of 300 West Broad Street in Hazleton for a report of a building on fire. Initial reports were smoke and flames from the third floor of the former American Legion building. Chief 3 arrived on scene and confirmed he had smoke showing from the abandoned building and requested a working fire tone.
