Two flown from serious crash in Black Creek
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – At 6:00PM on Tuesday, January 18, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 19 (Nuremberg-Weston) to 1564 Tomhicken Road in Black Creek Township. Firefighters arrived on the scene in Engine 19-10 and Squad 19-60 to find a two-vehicle head-on collision with both drivers still in the vehicles. Personnel found one driver to be unresponsive, popped the door and were able to quickly extricate to EMS. Crews found the second driver was trapped under the dashboard but conscious. Classic Car rolls over in Nuremberg
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – A 1965 Ford Mustang rolled onto its roof in the village of Nuremberg in the evening of Sunday, April 5. Nuremberg-Weston firefighters were dispatched to the area of 170 Nuremberg Mountain Road at 7:25 PM and found the vehicle on its roof on 1st Street and leaking gasolin. The driver was self extricated and not injured. State Police arrived on-scene and released all fire units. Click here for photo gallery

Driver rescued after crashing down embankment
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – The McAdoo Fire Company was out escorting Santa around the community in his sleigh when the pager went off for a motor vehicle accident at Lofty Road and Mile Hill Road (SR 309) around 6 PM on Thursday, December 12. Chief 49 was advised of a single vehicle crash with a vehicle down an embankment. The call was upgraded to a crash with entrapment which added Hazle Township Fire. 3+ alarms called as fire levels stretch of homes in Ashland
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – A massive fire ravaged a row of homes in Ashland Thursday afternoon. The first alarm went out just before 3 PM and sent District 38 (Ashland) and District 45 (Girardville) to 1112 Brock Street for a reported house fire. Initial reports were of multiple calls reporting a house fire at this location. Police arrived on scene and found heavy fire showing from the middle of a row. Hazleton Boscov’s damaged by fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Around 4:20 AM on Thursday, January 31, Hazle Township Fire Rescue was dispatched to the Boscov’s Department Store in the Laurel Mall for a commercial fire alarm. Crews were advised of a sprinkler activation. 141 Engine 3 arrived on the scene and found smoke showing from one of the main entrances. The engine requested the box be upgraded to a commercial fire. 141 Tower 7 arrived on scene and positioned in front of the engine. Shenandoah fire ruled accidental
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 4 PM on Tuesday, August 28, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a first alarm assignment to the area of White and Oak Streets in Shenandoah for a reporting building fire. The Shenandoah Fire Department was due as was Mahanoy City Rescue 48-50. Chief 64-2 was immediately on radio stating he was a block away and had smoke visible. The call was upgraded to a working fire with an updated address of 35 South White Street. Tree lands on passing car on Nuremberg Mountain
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Just before midnight on August 5, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 19 (Nuremberg-Weston) to Mountain Road and Millers Road in North Union Township for a tree down on top of a car. Fire units arrived on scene to find multiple large trees down on the roadway and suspended on utility wires. Underneath the trees were a passenger car that was traveling toward Nuremberg when the trees came down. The driver of the car was able to escape without injury but the car suffered moderate damage.
