SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Around 5:30 PM on Tuesday, July 10, Pottsville City Station 30 was dispatched to 515 West Laurel Boulevard in Pottsville to assist the police department with a non-injury accident. Fire personnel arrived on scene to find police investigating a non-injury accident where a car careened into a parked camper and became embedded within.  The driver was self-extricated. Traffic on Laurel was reduced to one lane while police investigated and Womer’s Garage removed the vehicle from the camper. Click here for additional photos  

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – The driver of a Subaru sedan escaped serious injury Thursday night after the vehicle rolled over on Malones Road in Butler Township. Around 10:45 PM on Thursday, July 5, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 4 Stations 1 (Fountain Springs) and 2 (Lavelle) with Englewood Fire, Ashland EMS and Ashland Rescue to the area of 253 Malones Road for an accident with rollover. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Two crashes sent two drivers to area hospitals during the evening hours of Wednesday, May 2. The first crash came in around 7 PM in the 200 Block of South Main Street in Shenandoah.  Crews arrived on scene to find a PT Cruiser versus a tree with the driver still in the vehicle.  A crew from Squrt 64-20 popped the door to access the patient who was transported to a local hospital by Shenandoah EMS.  Rescue 64-50 and Shenandoah Police were on the scene as well. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Around 12:15 PM on Thursday, February 15, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched units to the area of Centre and Peacock Street in Pottsville for a vehicle accident with entrapment.  Stations 30, 40 and 60 were due with Schuylkill EMS. First responding units were advised of a vehicle down into a creek, upside down with the driver still in the vehicle. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Shortly before 10 PM on Saturday, January 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 30 (Ringtown Valley) and Shenandoah (Columbia Hose) with Shenandoah ALS to 330 Farmers Road in Union Township for an accident with unknown injuries. Chief 30 arrived on the scene with Engine 30-10, Rescue Squad 30-15 and Brush 30-45 to find a vehicle versus pole with two poles down, wires scattered throughout the scene and one person still in the vehicle.  The call was upgraded to an accident with entrapment. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Around 11:45 AM on Tuesday, October 10, Hazle Township Fire & Rescue Company was dispatched with APTS Medic 11 to the CAN-DO Expressway (SR 924) near the entrance to Interstate 81 South for an accident with injuries. Chief 141 and Medic 11B were the first units responding and were advised of a passenger car versus truck with one occupant of the car unresponsive.  Units were quickly updated that there were now reports of the unconscious occupant being trapped in the vehicle. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:42 AM, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company and Shenandoah ALS to Green Mountain Road and Red Ridge Road in North Union Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Chief 581 and Engine 582 were advised of a single vehicle accident involving a utility pole with one person injured.  The injured person was reported to be at a nearby residence. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just before 10AM on Tuesday, September 5, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Saint Clair Fire Department and Schuylkill EMS to Route 61 Northbound on the “Grade” between Saint Clair and Frackville for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:30 PM on Thursday, August 10, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a Pottsville Fire Chief to the area of Centre Street and Mauch Chunk Street for a report of fluid on the roadway. P-6 was advised of a report of a tractor trailer that had a ruptured fuel tank in the area and was still driving on Centre Street.  Callers were reporting a large amount of diesel fuel on the roadway.  P-6 requested Stations 10 and 70 be added to the run. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just before 11PM on Friday, June 30, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Pottsville City Stations 50 and 60 with Schuylkill EMS to the area of West Market Street and Gordon Nagle Trail for an accident with injuries.
