SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:15 AM on Saturday, October 12, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 9 (Sheppton-Oneida Fire) to Shenandoah Mountain Road and Mahanoy City Mountain Road in East Union Township for a motor vehicle accident. Engine 09-10 and Squad 09-70 arrived on the scene to find one vehicle rolled over in the middle of Route 924.  Prior to the fire department’s arrival a second vehicle traveling on 924 smashed into the overturned vehicle. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – On Monday, September 30, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 9 (Sheppton-Oneida), Mahanoy City West End for the rescue and Shenandoah ALS to 450 Main Boulevard in East Union Township for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Responding units were advised of a single vehicle crash with one person trapped in the vehicle.  Engine 09-10 arrived on the scene and confirmed one Jeep versus a rock with a male pinned under the dash. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 3:30 PM on Tuesday, September 24, Shenandoah ALS and a Shenandoah Fire Department Chief were dispatched to 200 East Centre Street in Shenandoah for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries.  The initial calls reported a two vehicle accident with vehicles still in the roadway. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 7:37 AM on Tuesday, August 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 4 (Fountain Springs and Lavelle), Ashland Rescue, Ashland EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 920 Fountain Street in Butler Township for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. First responding units were advised of a car into a house with severe structural damage.  It was reported that one person was ejected from the vehicle and was lying unconscious in the home and another occupant was trapped in the vehicle.  The original reports stated the homeowner was unaccounted for.  The rescue assignment was quickly upgraded and … Continue reading →
