Mahanoy City finds dwelling well involved on arrival
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:50 AM on Thursday, October 27, the Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 10 North 8th Street in the borough for a reported house on fire. Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Mahanoy City EMS were also due. Assistant Chief 455 was the first officer on air and was advised on multiple calls reporting a house on fire with a car still in the driveway. 3 Alarms for dwelling fire outside Freeland
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 9AM, Foster Twp. Fire, Freeland Fire, White Haven Fire, Freeland EMS and APTS Medic 11 were dispatched to the 300 Block of Foster Avenue in Foster Township for a report of a house fire with possible entrapment. Initial reports were given that callers stated there was smoke and flames coming from a residence with possibly people trapped inside. First responding units advised they had smoke showing from a distance and Luzerne County advised they were now getting reports of people jumping from windows. Multiple RVs burn in Brandonville
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 9:30PM on Monday, September 19, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 9 (Sheppton-Oneida) to the area of 899 Pole Road in East Union Township for a report of an automobile fire. Chief 09 and Engine 09-10 went responding and were advised of at least two RVs on fire in the yard of a residence in this area. Hazleton douses basement fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – After 5PM on Thursday, July 14, the Hazleton City Fire Department and APTS Medic 11 were dispatched to 640 Monges Street in the City for a reported structure fire. First responding units were advised of a caller reporting a basement fire and everyone was evacuating the structure. The Duty Chief arrived on the scene to find a two and a half single family dwelling with nothing showing from the exterior. Shenandoah fire destroys home, damages several others
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 11:19PM, on Thursday, July 7, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to 134 South Market Street for a garage fire. Marshal 751 arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire, he was advised by Communications that police were reporting possible entrapment and recommending a second alarm be struck. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 10:40 AM, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to the area of 400 East Centre Street in Shenandoah for a working structure fire. The first alarm brought the Shenandoah Fire Department, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Mahanoy City West End. First responding units were advised that Communications was receiving multiple calls on a building fire. McAdoo stirkes second alarm for house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just after noon on Friday, May 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 49 (McAdoo) to 9 3rd Street in the Kelayres section of Kline Township for a house on fire. Quint 49-22, who was out on a public service detail, went responding immediately after dispatch and was advised of a frantic caller reporting her house on fire and everyone was to be out of the building. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just after 7AM on Friday, May 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Districts 38 (Ashland) and 45 (Girardville) to 421 West Center Street in Ashland for a reported house fire. A second alarm was quickly struck as Chief 38-02 arrived on the scene and found heavy smoke showing from a two and a half story residence with exposures attached on both sides. Massive brush fire strikes lower Luzerne County
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – A large brush fire struck lower Luzerne County on Thursday, May 12. In the early afternoon, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazle Township Fire & Rescue to the area off Rails-to-Trails for a reported brush fire. Crews arrived on scene to find a large brush fire in a secluded area of brush and woodlands. Extra units were called in to the scene as the fire continued to rapidly grow. Units from Luzerne, Carbon and Schuylkill Counties were called into the scene. Click here for additional photos

Flames destroy garage, spread to Brandonville home
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:15 AM on Sunday, May 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm to the area of 57 Main Boulevard in the Brandonville section of East Union Township for a reported garage on fire. Chief 09-02 went responding and was advised of two calls reporting a garage fire, one caller reported hearing a bang then saw fire from the garage.
