3+ alarms in Mount Carmel
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – At 8:20AM, Northumberland County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm to 232 South Beech Street in Mount Carmel for a working house fire. As the first alarm tones were being dropped, local police got on radio to report a fire on Beech Street. The police were advised the fire department was dispatched and about ten calls were received reporting the fire. Police advised there was a working fire in the rear with three houses already involved. Captain 1 got on the scene and confirmed the working fire and a second alarm was dispatched to the scene. Two large brush fires strike central Schuylkill County
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 2:15 PM on Sunday, April 24, the Pottsville Bureau of Fire was dispatched to investigate smoke and a possible brush fire on Peach Mountain Road. Assistant Chief P-4 went responding and was advised of additional calls reporting a brush fire near Peach Mountain Road and Mountain Drive. Shenandoah makes quick work of house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 10:21PM on Friday, April 22, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm to 217 West Arlington Street in Shenandoah for a reported house on fire. The Shenandoah Fire Department was due with Frackville Ladder 43-20, Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Lost Creek EMS. Heavy fire from Shenandoah dwelling
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just before 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 13, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to 508 West Mount Vernon Street in Shenandoah for a reported house on fire. The first alarm included the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993 and Frackville Ladder 43-20. Shenandoah EMS was also due on the response. As the advisory was given to the police, the West Mahanoy Township police advised County that they could see smoke rising from Shenandoah in the area of the reported fire. Minersville rescues one from apartment building fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just after 2:30 PM on Friday, March 25, the Minersville Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Sunbury Street and Delaware Street for a reported apartment building fire. Police units in the area noticed smoke coming from the windows of the building on the corner. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 12:16 PM on Friday, March 25, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm structure assignment to 74 Grier Avenue in Rush Township for a reported house on fire. The first alarm included Fire Districts 26 (Ryan Twp.), 25 (Rush Township), 27 (Schuylkill Twp. – Tuscarora) and 06 (Delano Twp.). Altamont Fire and Mahanoy City Fire (Citizens and Good American) were due as well as Polish American Tanker 759 out of Shenandoah. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 12:48 AM, on Tuesday, March 8, the Minersville Fire Department was dispatched to 514 Pine Hill Street in the borough for a reported house on fire. Chief 510 went responding and was advised of multiple calls reporting a working fire at this address. The Chief requested a second alarm be dispatched which brings Stations 50 & 60 out of Pottsville. 3 alarms struck for Shenandoah building fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 4:19 AM on Sunday, February 14, Shenandoah Marshal 747 spotted smoke coming from a building in the unit block of North Main Street in the borough. M747 radioed into Schuylkill County 9-1-1 who also began to receive reports of the fire. The first alarm was dispatched. Squrt 745 was out the door in seconds and took the address, a second alarm was requested. Engine 747 took the rear of the address where heavy fire was showing. Multiple lines were stretched off 747. MONROE COUNTY, PA – Around 8:30 AM on Wednesday, February 3 Monroe County 9-1-1 dispatched units to the Blakeslee Inn & Restaurant on Route 940 in Tobyhanna Township for a commercial fire alarm. Soon after, reports of a commercial structure fire began to come in to 9-1-1. Crews arrived on the scene to find a working fire in a large motel with restaurants inside. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 10:27 AM units were sent to the former Swiss Chalet restaurant at 529 Second Mountain Road in West Brunswick Township for a reported commercial building fire. The first alarm included Fire Districts 42 (West Brunswick / Deer Lake), 56 (Orwigsburg), 47 (Landingville), 63 (Schuylkill Haven) and a Rapid Intervention Team out of Pottsville.
