Pottsville battles another building fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 8 AM on Wednesday, January 27, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Pottsville Bureau of Fire to 1247 West Market Street in the City for a reported building fire with entrapment. Chief P-1 went responding and was advised of multiple calls reporting smoke showing from a building in the area of 13th and Market Streets. Captain 55 was immediately on radio reporting a large column of smoke almost a dozen blocks away. Fatal apartment building fire in Pottsville
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 2:44 AM the Pottsville Bureau of Fire was dispatched to 324 East Norwegian Street in the City for a reported apartment building fire with entrapment. P-4 arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire with entrapment and requested a Rapid Intervention Team from Schuylkill Haven. Upon further investigation, P-4 found heavy fire in a three story apartment building. A second alarm was requested at 2:52 AM. Ladder 51 took the address on Norwegian Street and went to work. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11 AM on Sunday, January 24, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm commercial assignment to 140 Walnut Street in Schuylkill Township for a reported building fire. Fire District 27 (Schuylkill Twp.), District 32 (Walker Twp.), District 40 (Coaldale), District 65 (Tamaqua) and Tamaqua Rescue were due. Man dies, two others injured in Girardville blaze
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – One person died and two others were injured as a result of a two alarm fire in Girardville. The initial alarm was sent out shortly after 7:00 AM on Friday, January 8 to 529 East Mahanoy Avenue in Girardville for a reported house on fire with possible entrapment. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 2:06 PM on Friday, November 27, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to 15 Main Street in Port Carbon at the Penn Equipment Company for a reported commercial building fire. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – On Friday, November 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Districts 38 (Ashland) and 45 (Girardville) to 1020 Walnut Street in Ashland for a reported house on fire around 1PM. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 9:15AM on Wednesday, November 4, Tamaqua Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Pine and Biddle Streets in the borough for a reported house on fire. EMS and PD arrived on the scene to find smoke showing from a duplex on Biddle Street, it was unknown if anyone was in the residence. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 11:59 on Wednesday, September 9, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 transmitted Box 15 for 210 Washington Street in Tamaqua Borough for a reported apartment building fire. The Tamaqua Fire Department, Tamaqua Rescue and Tamaqua EMS were due. Immediately after dispatch, Tamaqua Police spotted the fire from blocks away and confirmed a working fire.
