LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 7:23 AM on Monday, May 12, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched White Haven Fire, Freeland Fire, Dennison Twp. Fire, White Haven BLS and APTS Medic 11 to 215 Towanda Street in White Haven for a reported house on fire. Initial responding units were advised of an updated address of 223 Towanda and the fire was spreading to the neighboring home. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire from multiple sides of 223 Towanda and it was quickly spreading to the “D” side exposure. A second alarm was quickly struck. St. Clair dwelling catches fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 7, the St. Clair Fire Department was dispatched to 207 North Front Street in their borough for a reported house on fire. Police arrived in the area and reported heavy smoke showing from the front of the duplex. Ladder 703 was the first arriving fire apparatus and stretched a line to the rear where fire was showing. Firefighters from throughout Luzerne and Schuylkill Counties battled a large fire at Damenti’s Restaurant in Butler Township, Luzerne County, PA. Camper catches fire outside Schuylkill Mall
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 2:53 PM on Monday, February 24, Schuylkill County 911 dispatched Fire District 43 (Frackville), Altamont and Englewood fire companies to 958 Mall Road in New Castle Township at the Holiday Inn Express for a vehicle fire. Engine 43-15 went responding and was advised of multiple calls received reporting a camper on fire in the parking lot. It was unknown if anyone was in the vehicle. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 3:30 PM on Tuesday, February 18, the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 404 East Main Street in the borough for a reported house on fire. First responding units were advised of a working house fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire showing from a two and a half story end of row dwelling. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 18, the Mahanoy City Fire Department and Frackville Ladder 43-20 were dispatched to 1202 East Pine Street in Mahanoy City for a reported house on fire with entrapment. Mahanoy City EMS arrived on the scene and confirmed a working basement fire with all occupants out of the building. Tanker 461 took the address and Tower quickly followed. Heating unit draws 1st alarm assignment to nursing home
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 6:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 43 (Frackville) with Englewood, Altamont and Mahanoy City Tower 456 to Broad Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Frackville for smoke in a nursing home. Shenandoah ALS and Frackville BLS were also on the assignment. Responding crews were advised the facility called reporting a heating unit smoking in a room and they were unable to turn it off. Shenandoah makes quick work of house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – On Friday evening, January 17, the Shenandoah Fire Department was alerted to an incoming box alarm at Poplar and Chestnut Streets. No calls were received to the 911 Center to report any incidents in that area. Crews loaded up and headed out to investigate.
