Car catches fire on I81

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 21, Luzerne County dispatched Dorrance Twp. Fire and Dorrance EMS to Interstate 81 at MM156 for a reported vehicle fire. Additional was provided that smoke was coming from a passenger car. Hazle Twp. Assistance Chief 141-4 (Zoshak) come up on radio and stated he came upon the vehicle fire and was now reporting a fully involved vehicle off the roadway and all occupants were accounted for. Dorrance Twp. Fire arrived on the scene and quickly extinguished the fire.

Hazle Twp. finds fire showing from apartment building

LUZERNE COUNTY – At 4:57 PM on Tuesday, October 16, Hazle Township Fire, Harwood Fire and APTS Medic 11 were dispatched to 1143 Harwood Road in Hazle Township for a reported commercial structure fire. Hazle Township Assistant Chief 141-4 (Zoshak) went responding and was advised of a three story multi-family apartment building receiving multiple calls for smoke coming from the building. The chief arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire with heavy smoke showing and requested an additional tone for the working fire. Harwood Road Command was established. Girardville shed ignites house on B Street

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 12:15 AM on Saturday, September 15, the Girardville Fire Department along with Girardville EMS was dispatched to the area of 200 Pine Street in Girardville for a reported shed on fire. Girard Hose Engine 45-11 went responding with Chief 45-01 (Shearn) and was advised multiple calls were being received for a shed well off. Ashland hits second alarm for three dwellings

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:45 AM on Friday, September 14, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched District 38 (Ashland Fire) to 1222 Spruce Street in Ashland for a reported house fire. Ashland police were advised of the possible fire and Unit 41 arrived on the scene in seconds confirming a working fire. PD stated flames and smoke were showing from the residence. Ashland Asst. Frackville bagel shop burns

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A few minutes before 8:00 PM on Friday, September 7, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 advised PD Unit 71 (Frackville) that a report was received of a possible business building fire in the area of the bagel shop at Oak Street and Lehigh Avenue. The fire department was dispatched moments later. The first alarm assignment included Frackville Fire, Altamont Fire, Englewood Fire, Tower 456 (Citizens of Mahanoy City) and Frackville Ambulance. Shamokin fire escalates to 3+ alarms

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Minutes after 10:00 PM on Wednesday, September 5, Northumberland County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shamokin Fire Bureau to the area of Shamokin and Sunbury Streets for a possible dwelling fire. The incident was upgraded to a working fire in seconds and upgraded to the second alarm after a few minutes. Ashland garage goes two bells

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 12:48 AM on Wednesday, August 1, the Ashland Fire Department was dispatched to 16 North 12th Street in their borough for a reported garage fire. Mt. Carmel Truck 2 (Northumberland County) was also on the first alarm. Ashland Police Unit 42 was the first responder on scene and found heavy fire from a garage in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 2:30AM on Monday, July 30, the Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched with Altamont RIT and Frackville Ladder 4320 to the area of North Main and East Raildroad Streets for the reported house fire. Chief 455 (Macleary) went responding and was advised the caller stated there was fire on the roof of a house behind the M&T Bank. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Fire & Film caught a job while traveling through Lehigh County yesterday. The fire was reported around 4:30 PM on Wednesday, July 25. Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 30 (Lower Macungie), 25 (Trexlertown) and 66 (Macungie EMS) to 1915 Aster Road in Lower Macungie Township for a dwelling fire. Hazleton City finds camper fire with exposures

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Just after 8:00 AM on Friday, July 20, the Hazleton City Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Laurel and Noble Street in the City for a reported vehicle fire. A neighboring department unit was on the air shortly before dispatch reporting a large column of smoke in the same area. Fire responding units were advised of a camper on fire in close proximity to two buildings. A portable arrived on scene and confirmed a fully involved camper fire with extension to both buildings.
