Sugarloaf dwelling fire hits second alarm

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 2:30 PM on Monday, April 23, Luzerne County was notified by a Sugarloaf Fire Company portable of a structure fire on Twin Lane in Sugarloaf. The portable reported there was smoke showing from a house. The box was immediately dispatched for Sugarloaf Fire and EMS. Sugarloaf Chief arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire in a two-story single family dwelling with an attached garaged. Large home destroyed by fire in Columbia County

COLUMBIA COUNTY, PA – Around 8:30 PM on Saturday, April 21 Columbia County dispatched Stations 270 (Numidia), 50 (Catawissa) and 350 (Aristes) to 2191 Mill Road in Locust Twp. for a reported dwelling fire. Units were quickly re-alerted for the working fire. First arriving crews found a large home set back in the woods with heavy fire throughout. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 6:30 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Shenandoah ALS Medic 64 to 119 East Coal Street in Shenandoah for a reported house fire. Ashland fire brings in two alarms

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 03:18 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Ashland Fire Department to 1438 Market Street in Ashland for smoke in a dwelling. Shortly after the dispatched Ashland PD arrived in the area with heavy smoke in the intersection. The box was quickly upgraded for the dwelling fire. Shenandoah worker sends one to burn center

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 9:00 AM on Sunday, March 11, 2012 Schuylkill County 911 sent the first alarm assignment to the 300 Block of West Columbus Street for the possible structure fire. The assignment included the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Shenandoah ALS. Chief 740 went responding and was advised that calls were being received reporting a fire on the second floor of the dwelling. Freeland house burns on Christmas

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 10:30 PM on Christmas night, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm assignment to 425 Alvin Street in Freeland Borough for a reported dwelling fire. Most of the first alarm units were already on scene of a multiple alarm dwelling fire in neighboring Butler Township. Non-essential units quickly picked up and responded to Freeland. Hazleton makes quick work of apartment fire

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 11:25 AM on Tuesday, December 13, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazleton City Fire and Medic 11 to 359 West Broad Street in the City for a reported structure fire. Chief 2 and Ladder 1 immediately responded along with Engines 2 and 4. While responding, units were updated that police officers were on scene confirming a working fire. Buffet House destroyed in Saturday night blaze

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A basement fire destroyed a business on Route 61 south of Pottsville on Saturday, November 26. While crews were still operating at the textile fire in Cressona, the box was sent to the Buffet House Chinese restaurant on Route 61 for a reported commercial fire. Crews arrived to find a working basement fire. An interior attack was initiated but all members were ordered to evacuate within 30 minutes due to worsening conditions on the first floor.
