Commercial building burns to ground in Cressona

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A fire broke out at a textile facility in Cressona around 6:30 PM on Saturday, November 26. Arriving crews found heavy fire showing from the building.  Multiple hand lines and master streams were immediately put into service.  Command requested a tanker task force to supplement the water supply. An additional ladder was called into the scene for an extra elevated master stream. The fire eventually led to the entire building collapsing.   Click here to view the entire photo gallery

Fatal Whitehall fire goes multiple alarms

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 7:30 AM on Sunday, October 9, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Engine Rescue 4041, Engines 3911, 3912, Truck 3631 and EMS Station 62 to 5834 Coplay Road in Whitehall Township for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Chief 3501 responded and was advised that the incident would be located at the Blue Fox Hotel. The initial call was received for a burglar alarm at the facility and a second call was reporting smoke in the building. West Hazleton job knocked in minutes

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 9:30 PM on Saturday, September 3, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent out the box to 311 West Green Street in West Hazleton Borough for a reported working dwelling fire with entrapment.  The first alarm assignment included Station 24 (West Hazleton), Station 10 (Hazle Township), West Hazleton BLS 583 and APTS Medic 11.   Hazle Tower-Ladder 107 and Engine 102 were on the street immediately upon dispatch and were advised of multiple reports a working fire with people possibly trapped inside. Tri-Clover handles SWT auto fire

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 7:30 PM on Friday, August 12, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Station 26 (Tri-Clover, Orefield) to the area of PA 309 and Village Road in South Whitehall Township for an automobile fire. Allentown fire hits 3rd alarm

ALLENTOWN, PA – A fire broke out in the third floor of a dwelling Friday afternoon.  City firefighters were dispatched around 3:20 PM on July 29 to 14th and Chew Streets for a dwelling fire with possible entrapment.  The box included Engine 4, Engine 9, Engine 10, Truck 1 and Battalion 2.  Apparatus responding from the Central Station reported smoke showing from 11th and Chew. Schnecksville battles car fire

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Station 22 (Schnecksville) found a fully involved car fire in a parking lot at the intersection of Levans Road and Coffeetown Road in North Whitehall Township just before 3:00 AM on Tuesday, July 5. Tanker 2221 arrived on the scene and stretched a hand line to knock down the fire.  After the bulk of the fire was knocked down, a foam line was placed in service to extinguish a few stubborn hot spots.   Crews remained on scene for approximately an hour.  The Pennsylvania State Police were requested to assist in the investigation. Allen firefighters find garage well off

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – Just before 6 PM on Tuesday, June 21, Northampton County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Stations 45 (Allen Township) and 46 (East Allen Township) to the area of Howertown Road and Nor-Bath Boulevard in Allen Township for a garage fire. Camden, NJ fire hits 12 alarms

CAMDEN, NJ – Firefighters from the City of Camden along with multiple departments throughout New Jersey gathered in the extreme heat to battle a warehouse fire that spread to multiple houses and other buildings. Firefighters were called to Chestnut Street and Orchard Street around 4:15 PM for an abandoned tire factory on fire.  The fire quickly escalated to three alarms with heavy fire through the roof. Warehouse fire goes two alarms

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Nancy Run (Station 14) and Bethlehem Township (Station 17) were dispatched with Bethlehem Township EMS at 7:20 PM on Wednesday, June 01, to 2600 Brodhead Road in Bethlehem Township for a commercial structure fire.  The dispatch had given a report of a possible fork lift fire in a warehouse.   Moments after the initial dispatch, Northampton County 9-1-1 alerted responders that police were reporting smoke showing from the Nazareth Pike, approximately a mile away.   Chief 1751 went responding with a short response time and reported heavy smoke showing.  Northampton 9-1-1 relayed to the … Continue reading

Fire damages school, cancels classes
