SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 8:55 PM on Wednesday, March 18, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a first alarm assignment for a house fire at 1016 Market Street in Ashland. Fire District 38 (Ashland) and 45 (Girardville) were due on the box. Chief 38 arrived on the scene to find a two story end-of-the-row dwelling with smoke showing from the second floor. Chief 38 called it a working fire and asked for the second alarm. Basement fire damages Mahanoy City rowhome
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 5:12 PM on Tuesday, March 17, Fire District 48 was sent to 724 West Centre Street for a report of a house fire. Chief 48-3 was advised of smoke coming from the corner of a rowhome with an alarm sounding. The chief advised he had smoke showing from multiple blocks away. Lansford building fire hits 3rd alarm
CARBON COUNTY, Pa. – Around 4:15 AM on Thursday, March 12, Carbon County 9-1-1 transmitted a first alarm for a building fire in the unit block of East Ridge Street in Lansford. Police radioed a report of a working apartment building fire across from their police station. Police had fire showing from the second floor which was rapidly growing. Firefighters battle overnight blaze in Tamaqua
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 12:09 AM on Sunday, January 26, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 transmitted Box 13 in the borough of Tamaqua for a house fire at 126 Gay Street. First responding units were advised of multiple calls reporting a house fire with people possibly inside. Chief 65 arrived to assume command with a working fire in a two story duplex. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 3:50 AM on Friday, January 17, the Shenandoah Fire Department was dispatched with Mahanoy City West End Rescue 48-50 to the 200 Block of East Lloyd Street in Shenandoah for a possible commercial building fire. Shenandoah Police arrived in the area and reported smoke showing from 125 East Lloyd Street. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Just after 9:15 PM on Sunday, December 22, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazle Twp. Fire, Harwood Fire and Medic 37 to 4187 Hollywood Boulevard in Hazle Township for a residential structure fire with entrapment. 141 Chief 2 was advised of a report of a fire in half a double with possibly 3 people still inside. CARBON COUNTY, Pa. – Just after 7 AM on Sunday, December 8, Carbon County 9-1-1 sent District 21 (Beaver Meadows) and District 20 (Weatherly) to 38 3rd Street in Beaver Meadows for a reported dwelling fire. Woman killed in Pottsville house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Just moments after midnight on Friday, December 6, the Pottsville Fire Department was alerted of a house fire at 1971 West Howard Avenue in the City. Crews arrived on-scene to find heavy fire showing from the first floor and learned a woman was trapped inside the home. Engine 68-16 and Ladder 68-25 took the address of the building to begin fighting the flames and searching for the trapped occupant. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Just before 7:30 AM on Saturday, November 23, the Hazleton City Fire Department was dispatched to 355 Muir Avenue in the Heights section of the City for a reported house fire. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 2:36 PM on Friday, November 22, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent out a house fire dispatch for the 400 Block of West Spruce Street in Mahanoy City. The Mahanoy City Fire Department was due on the response. Chief 48 signed on and was advised of multiple calls reporting a house fire in the 400 block.
