Pottsville makes quick work of dwelling fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 5:42 AM on Friday, April 19, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent out Box 52 for the 600 Block of North 3rd Street in Pottsville for a reported house on fire. First responding units were advised that police were on scene reporting a well involved house fire. Chief 68-8 requested a Rapid Intervention Team from Schuylkill Haven. Another row destroyed by fire in Ashland

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 3:34 AM on Sunday, March 24, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent a first alarm assignment to 100 West Center Street in Ashland for a reported structure fire. The fire was reported in the area of M&M Sandwich Shop. Fire Districts 38 (Ashland) and 45 (Girardville) were due on the call. The first responding chief advised he had fire visible from uptown. Fire tears through Port Carbon rowhomes

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 9:31 PM, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a first alarm assignment to 22 Pike Street in Port Carbon for a reported house fire with possible entrapment. Fire Districts 59 (Port Carbon), 57 (Palo Alto), 68 Stations 20, 30 & 60 (Pottsville – Phoenix, Humane and Yorkville) and 62 (Saint Clair – Alert). Hazleton Boscov’s damaged by fire

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Around 4:20 AM on Thursday, January 31, Hazle Township Fire Rescue was dispatched to the Boscov’s Department Store in the Laurel Mall for a commercial fire alarm. Crews were advised of a sprinkler activation. 141 Engine 3 arrived on the scene and found smoke showing from one of the main entrances. The engine requested the box be upgraded to a commercial fire. 141 Tower 7 arrived on scene and positioned in front of the engine. McAdoo calls second alarm into Banks Twp.

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. – At 6:17 PM, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent out a first alarm assignment for Banks Twp., Carbon County to 1479 Berwick Street for a house fire. The first alarm included Fire Districts 49 (McAdoo), 9 (Sheppton-Oneida) and 25 (Hometown). Beaver Meadows Engine 21-11 was also due out of Carbon. Carbon County also sent out requests for a tanker out of Hazle Township and a tanker from Weatherly. Chief 49 was advised of a propane tank on fire in the basement upon responding. West Hazleton house fire hits second alarm

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – At 8:26 PM on Saturday, January 12, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent 183 Fire (West Hazleton) with 577 EMS (Sugarloaf) and Medic 26 to 101 East Green Street in West Hazleton for a reported building on fire. Second alarm struck in Shenandoah; ruled accidental

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 6:39 PM on Tuesday, January 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a first alarm assignment to 238 South Jardin Street in Shenandoah for a house fire.  Fire District 64 (Shenandoah) and 48 Station 5 (Mahanoy City – West End) were due on the alarm. First responding crews were advised of a possible kitchen fire.  EMS from Shenandoah ALS arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the first floor and then located heavy fire to the rear. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – At 4:33 AM on Tuesday, January 8, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazle Township Fire and Sugarloaf EMS to 6 Scotch Pine Drive in Hazle Township for a vehicle fire. 141 Engine 3 was advised that multiple reports were received indicating a plow truck on fire in the parking lot of Hershey Company.  Hazle Twp. firefighter Gould arrived on scene shortly after and confirmed the report of a fully involved truck fire. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 3:56 PM on Saturday, January 5, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent Fire District 64 (Shenandoah) and District 48 Station 5 (West End – Mahanoy City) to 629 West Penn Street in Shenandoah for smoke in a house. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – At 7:16 PM on Sunday, December 16, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent a first alarm assignment out to 1490 South Church Street in Hazle Township for a reported commercial building fire. The box included Hazle Township Fire/Rescue, APTS Medic 11 and McAdoo BLS. Hazle Chief 4 was advised of multiple calls received reporting a fire at Triple J Trucking including a call from an alarm company for the location.
