LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Around 9 AM on Wednesday, December 5, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent Fairview Township and Wright Township Fire to 181 Gracedale Avenue in Fairview for a residential structure fire.  Additional dispatches relayed that police were reporting fire through the roof. A second alarm was dispatched with Hanover Twp., Nanticoke, Slocum Twp. and Ashley however only Hanover and Nanticoke responded to the scene. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Shortly before 10:30 PM on Thursday, November 1, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazleton City Fire to 250 South Church Street in the City for a reported commercial structure fire. Chief 2 was advised of multiple calls reporting fire through the roof of the Beltway Diner.  Units arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and flames showing from the roof of the single story restaurant. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – On Tuesday, October 30, around 4:30 PM, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazleton City Fire and APTS Medic 11 to the area of 300 West Broad Street in Hazleton for a report of a building on fire. Initial reports were smoke and flames from the third floor of the former American Legion building. Chief 3 arrived on scene and confirmed he had smoke showing from the abandoned building and requested a working fire tone. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Around 8:45 AM on Friday, August 17, Pottsville City Fire District 68 was sent to 511 Peacock Street for a reported house fire. Chief 68 was advised of a caller reporting fire in the rear second floor of a residence and everyone was believed to have been evacuated.  Nearing the scene, the chief had a column of smoke visible and declared a working fire with a request for a Rapid Intervention Team from Schuylkill Haven and a Tower-Ladder from Minersville. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Just after 1 PM on Thursday, July 12, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Districts 59 (Port Carbon) and 57 (Palo Alto) to 108 Market Street in Port Carbon for a brush fire endangering a structure. Chief 59-01 arrived on scene and found a working structure fire at the former Encounters Tavern and requested the box be filled out. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Just after 10 PM on Monday, July 9, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent a first alarm assignment to the 100 Block of West Main Street in Tremont Borough for a reported house fire with possible entrapment. LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – Over 50 people lined the sidewalks of Carleton Avenue in Hazleton Wednesday night, July 4th, to watch as fire tore through two buildings.  Around 11:30 PM, Hazleton City Fire and Medic 26 were dispatched to the 300 Block of Carleton Avenue for a reported house fire. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 6:50 PM on Sunday, June 10, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent a first alarm structure assignment to the area of 116 Island Road in the Mahanoy Plane section of Gilberton for a reported house fire.  The first alarm included Districts 44 (Gilberton), 43 (Frackville), 45 (Girardville), 48 (Mahanoy City), 64 (Shenandoah) and Englewood Engine 369. HAZLE TWP., Pa. – A Good Samaritan was able to arouse a sleeping truck driver to get him out of his burning truck Wednesday morning.  At 4:28 AM on Wednesday, May 23, Hazle Township Fire/Rescue and APTS Medic 11 were dispatched to the CanDo Expressway and Maplewood Drive near the Humboldt Industrial Park for a reported vehicle fire.
