Blaze destroys Hegins building

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Just after 9 AM on Monday, May 7, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a first alarm assignment to the area of 886 East Mountain Road in Hegins Township for a building fire. The first alarm included Districts 13 (Hegins Valley), 10 (Pitman), 12 (Donaldson), 14 (Sacramento), 22 Station 4 (Joliett) and 58 Station 2 (Pine Grove North End). Hazle Township brush fire brings multi-County response

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – After 2 PM on Wednesday, May 2, Hazle Township Fire 141 was sent to the Eagle Rock Resort for a brush fire.  Crews arrived to find a rapidly spreading brush fire near the far end of the Resort moving toward the Humboldt Industrial Park and Interstate 81. Additional resources were requested to the scene including Forestry, Sheppton-Oneida, Harwood, Valley Regional, Sugarloaf, Freeland, McAdoo, Beaver Meadows and Nuremberg-Weston. Fire destroys Melanie Manor trailer

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Around 3:30 AM on Saturday, May 5, Schuylkill County dispatched District 30 (Ringtown Valley) to Melanie Manor for an unknown type fire.  As crews approached the scene, they found a fully involved house trailer fire in the development. The first alarm was sent as well as a tanker task force which brought units from Sheppton-Oneida, Nuremberg, Mahanoy City, Shenandoah, Frackville, Aristes, Beaver Twp., Butler Twp., Girardville and Gordon. Butler Twp. brush fire destroys outbuilding

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – A brush fire spread to an outbuilding Tuesday morning in Butler Township.  Around 10 AM on Tuesday, April 24, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 4 (Lavelle & Fountain Springs) to 215 Germanville Road for a brush fire. The assignment was quickly upgraded to a structure assignment as a building was now reported to be on fire.  Englewood, Altamont and Ashland fire companies were now dispatched to the scene. Shenandoah fire displaces family of four, ruled accidental

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 2:05 PM on Saturday, April 7, Shenandoah firefighters were dispatched to 110 East Oak Street in the borough for a reported house fire.  Shenandoah ALS and Mahanoy City Rescue 993 were also due on the first alarm. Chief 64 was advised of multiple calls received reporting a fire in the second floor of this residence.  EMS soon arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire.  All occupants were out of the building on their arrival. Basement fire damages North Manheim home

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 12:50 PM on Tuesday, March 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 63 (Schuylkill Haven) to 63 North Lake Drive in North Manheim Township for a possible house fire. Chief 63-01 was advised that 9-1-1 received a call from an out-of-breath individual reporting a house on fire. Ashland fire goes to second alarm Monday morning

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Around 1:15 AM on Monday, March 5, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent Fire Districts 38 (Ashland) & 45 (Girardville) to 333 Walnut Street in the borough for a reported house fire. CARBON COUNTY, Pa. – Just before 9 PM on Friday, February 2, Carbon County 9-1-1 dispatched units to 401 East Abbott Street in Lansford for a dwelling fire.  The first alarm included Districts 14 (Summit Hill) and 15 (Lansford) and Schuylkill County District 40 (Coaldale). Mahanoy City strikes second alarm for afternoon house fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 4:19 PM on Friday, February 2, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department to 508 West Spruce Street in the borough for a house fire. First responding units were advised the caller was reporting fire in the walls.  Assistant Chief 455 and Ladder 457 arrived on the scene to find smoke showing and confirmed a working fire. Mount Carmel fire goes 3+ alarms

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – At 11:11 PM on Thursday, February 1, Northumberland County sent out a box to 317 North Hickory Street in Mount Carmel for a dwelling fire. First arriving crews found heavy fire throughout the rear of multiple duplexes in the 300 block of North Hickory.  A second alarm was quickly struck while Engine 1 and Truck 2 took the address and Engine 2 went to the rear.  Engine 3 secured a water supply behind Truck 2.
