COLUMBIA COUNTY, PA – Shortly after noon on Tuesday, November 15, Columbia County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 350 (Aristes), 330 (Wilburton) and 270 (Valley Chemical – Numidia) to Route 42 in the area of the watershed in Conyngham Township for a head-on vehicle crash reported with injuries. Ashland BLS and Shenandoah ALS were also requested out of Schuylkill County.

Chief 350 and Rescue Engine 352 went responding and were advised of two vehicles that collided head-on in the area of the entrance to the watershed in Brush Valley. Ambulance 3801 arrived on the scene shortly after and found one vehicle on the roadway and the other vehicle off the roadway a significant distance away. All occupants were self-extricated upon arrival and denying any major injury.
Rescue 352 arrived on the scene and positioned near the vehicle in the roadway and quickly set up a traffic pattern and secured hazards on the vehicle. Tanker 353 pulled past the vehicle and assisted the Rescue crew. Numidia Engine 273 was directed to the second vehicle and check for injuries and fluids. Station 330 was recalled as Chief 350 assumed Brush Valley Command.
EMS evaluated all the occupants of the vehicles and all denied transport to the hospital. Fire crews remained on the scene directing traffic and cleaning up the large debris field left by the crash. The Pennsylvania State Police arrived on the scene and after their investigation, all units cleared the scene.
