SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11 AM on Thursday, April 13, Pottsville Fire Department Stations 30 (Humane) & 40 (Goodwill) were dispatched to the area of Sands Ford on Route 61 in the City for a reported vehicle fire.
Crews were advised police were on scene to the rear of the building next to Sands with a working engine compartment fire. P-1 arrived on scene and established command. Engine 41 arrived and stretched a bumper line with the assistance on Engine 32’s crew.
The fire was knocked down within minutes and crews were clear shortly after.
