Camden, NJ fire hits 12 alarms

CAMDEN, NJ – Firefighters from the City of Camden along with multiple departments throughout New Jersey gathered in the extreme heat to battle a warehouse fire that spread to multiple houses and other buildings.

The fire continued to spread and command requested the 5th, 6th and 7th alarms just before 5:00 PM.  The fire had ignited neighboring houses and other buildings.

A whole row of houses on the opposite side of the block was destroyed by fire and many other homes and businesses were damaged.

Smoke filled the entire neighborhood for a multiple block radius.

The fire eventually made it to 12 Alarms before being brought under control.

Multiple firefighters were transported to the hospital with heat related injuries.
