LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – After 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 11 (Greenwalds) and 62 (Cetronia) to Orefield Road and Cedar Crest Boulevard for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Engine 1112 and Medic 6290 responded to the scene and arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one vehicle in the roadway and one vehicle into the nearby woods. The vehicle remaining in the roadway sustained heavy front end damage.
Fire crews began to control traffic and contain a spill from the vehicles while EMS personnel initiated patient care. After assessing the patients, one was transported to a local facility with minor injuries and two patients refused transport.
Firefighters remained on scene for just under an hour before the vehicles were removed and the incident was cleared.
