LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 4:30 PM on Wednesday, August 17 Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched units to the intersection of Golden Key Road and Schochary Road in Lynn Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Stations 17 (New Tripoli) and 71 (Northwestern EMS) were dispatched.
Chief 1701 signed on with Lehigh County 9-1-1 and was advised of a two vehicle accident with one female complaining of a leg injury.
The chief arrived on scene shortly after reporting a two vehicle collision with both vehicles still in the roadway. Golden Key Command was established. Command then advised he would have two patients with minor, Class 3, injuries.
Rescue 1741 was directed to stage of Schochary Road and to provide spill control as a large amount of fluids were on the ground. The rescue company was also directed to control electrical hazards in both vehicles. Fire Police unit 1752 arrived on the scene and provided traffic control.
Medic 7181 arrived on scene and began assessing both patients. Their injuries proved to be minor and both patients refused transport.
Fire units remained on scene for roughly thirty minutes. The Pennsylvania State Police also assisted at the scene.
