LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – At 10:30 PM on Sunday, September 18, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 22 (Schnecksville) and 67 (Northern Valley EMS) to Sand Spring Road in the area of the Sand Spring Apartments for a reported motor vehicle accident with rescue.
Medic 6792 went responding and was advised of a two vehicle accident with an unknown amount of patients and one person trapped. A second ALS unit was requested to respond.
Chief 2202 arrived on scene and found a passenger car versus a tow truck with the car propped up on the truck. All patients had self-extricated prior to the arrival of fire.
Rescue 2241 and Engine 2211 arrived on scene and controlled fluids leaking from the car. All occupants were evaluated by EMS and determined to be in minor condition. One patient was transported to a local hospital.
Units operated on scene for thirty minutes before the incident was placed under control.
