SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 3:00PM on Friday, June 22, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Frackville, Altamont and Englewood Fire Companies with Frackville BLS and Shenandoah ALS to The Schuylkill Mall in the area of the K-Mart Garden Center for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Medic 6403 went responding and was advised of one patient with injuries from the airbag and it was unsure what the vehicle struck. Ambulance 4302 went enroute and was given the updated information of a two vehicle accident with one injury.
Units arrived on scene to find a minor two vehicle accident directly in front of the K-Mart entrance with all occupants self-extricated. Frackville Engine 43-15 arrived on scene followed by Altamont Engine 367 who assisted EMS with patient packaging.
One female patient was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Units were placed available within thirty minutes. The State Police remained on scene investigating the cause of the crash.
