SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Mahanoy City and Frackville were dispatched shortly before 3 AM to 915 East Pine Street in Mahanoy City for a dwelling fire. MCPD Unit 94 arrived on scene and reported a fully involved rowhome and requested a second alarm. Fire units arrived and the fire quickly escalated to a third alarm fire. First units used deck guns to knock down the bulk of the fire and quickly moved in to make an aggressive attack. The building was laddered and the roof was trenched. With the quick actions of the MCFD, only two homes were severely damaged and a few others suffered minor to moderate damage.
