SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11 AM on Tuesday, November 13, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department (West End and Humane) with Mahanoy City EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 1210 West Centre Street in Mahanoy Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Medic 6404 and Ambulance 4803 went responding and was advised of a car versus pole with one male injured. Engine 451 arrived on scene to find a passenger car versus pole with the pole completely sheared and the driver self-extricated. EMS began to assess and treat the patient while fire crews set up traffic control with Rescue 993. The road remained closed into the evening while PPL worked to replace the pole.
