SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Over the last two weeks, firefighters from throughout Schuylkill County gathered to train on pump operations. The class was held at Ringtown Valley Fire/Rescue, Aristes Fire and Sheppton-Oneida Fire.
Attendees learned or brushed up on their skills of drafting, using hydrants and using tank water to supply hand lines and master streams. The class was instructed by Mike Kitsock and Joe “Blackie” Kufrovich. A Pumps II class is scheduled for August.
