CHESTER COUNTY, PA – On Saturday, September 28, 2013, firefighters from throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states gathered in West Chester for the 134th Annual Parade of the Pennsylvania State Fireman’s Convention. The Convention was hosted by the Fame Fire Company #3 of West Chester who was celebrating their 175th Anniversary.
The parade hosted nearly 400 participants including fire apparatus, marching units, bands, politicians and other floats. The parade weaved through the streets of West Chester for over three hours while thousands of people gathered to watch the parade. After the parade, trophies were given out to the best appearing units in many categories.
In addition to the parade, the convention also hosted training seminars, a golf outing, multiple meetings, a fire expo and open houses at the First West Chester Fire Company and Goodwill Fire Company.
