House burns in West Mahanoy Township
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 12:47 PM on Wednesday, December 12, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the West Mahanoy Township Fire Department (William Penn, Shenandoah Heights and Altamont) with the Hookies and Columbia from the Shenandoah Fire Department to 1200 West Coal Street in the Township for a reported house fire. Shenandoah ALS was also included on the first alarm assignment. Shenandoah Medic 6401 pulled out of the station and saw smoke showing from 12 blocks away. Two jump from Pottsville house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11:15 AM on Saturday, November 17 the Pottsville Fire Department was dispatched to 101 North 16th Street in the City for a house fire with entrapment. Responding crews were advised of two people reportedly trapped in the house. Units arrived to find heavy fire to the rear of a three story duplex. Fire had consumed almost the entire “C” side of the house and heavy smoke was pushing from the windows. Two people had jumped from upper floors to escape from the heat and flames. Trailer fire in Columbia County
COLUMBIA COUNTY, PA – Around 8:30AM Columbia County 9-1-1 dispatched Beaver Twp. Fire and Main Twp. Fire to 188 Scotch Valley Drive for a reported house fire. Nuremberg-Weston Fire was also requested for a full response. Crews arrived to find a working fire in a trailer. Main Twp.’s engine positioned in the driveway while Nurmberg’s engine took the address along Scotch Valley. A line was stretched through the front door to knock down the fire. Beaver Township set up a fill site nearby. Firefighters had the fire under control in under thirty minutes. Click here for the complete photo gallery!
Hazle Twp. finds fire showing from apartment building
LUZERNE COUNTY – At 4:57 PM on Tuesday, October 16, Hazle Township Fire, Harwood Fire and APTS Medic 11 were dispatched to 1143 Harwood Road in Hazle Township for a reported commercial structure fire. Hazle Township Assistant Chief 141-4 (Zoshak) went responding and was advised of a three story multi-family apartment building receiving multiple calls for smoke coming from the building. The chief arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire with heavy smoke showing and requested an additional tone for the working fire. Harwood Road Command was established. Heavy fire from Hazleton dwelling
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 11:30 AM on Sunday, October 14, Hazleton City Fire was dispatched to the area 1st Street and Wilbur Court for an investigation. When City Southside Station signed on for the additional, they were told a call was just received for a structure fire at 525 Wilbur Court. It was unknown if the building was occupied at the time. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 12:15 AM on Saturday, September 15, the Girardville Fire Department along with Girardville EMS was dispatched to the area of 200 Pine Street in Girardville for a reported shed on fire. Girard Hose Engine 45-11 went responding with Chief 45-01 (Shearn) and was advised multiple calls were being received for a shed well off. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:45 AM on Friday, September 14, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched District 38 (Ashland Fire) to 1222 Spruce Street in Ashland for a reported house fire. Ashland police were advised of the possible fire and Unit 41 arrived on the scene in seconds confirming a working fire. PD stated flames and smoke were showing from the residence. Ashland Asst. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 2:30AM on Monday, July 30, the Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched with Altamont RIT and Frackville Ladder 4320 to the area of North Main and East Raildroad Streets for the reported house fire. Chief 455 (Macleary) went responding and was advised the caller stated there was fire on the roof of a house behind the M&T Bank. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Fire & Film caught a job while traveling through Lehigh County yesterday. The fire was reported around 4:30 PM on Wednesday, July 25. Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 30 (Lower Macungie), 25 (Trexlertown) and 66 (Macungie EMS) to 1915 Aster Road in Lower Macungie Township for a dwelling fire. Shenandoah fire claims life, escalates to over three alarms
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 9:30 PM on Saturday, July 7, the Shenandoah Fire Department was dispatched to 220 West Columbus Street in the borough for a reported fully involved house fire. Frackville Ladder 43-20, Nuremberg Ladder 581, Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993 and Shenandoah ALS were also on the first alarm. Initial responding crews were advised of a working fire reported to be fully involved endangering exposures.
