Car takes out pole outside Mahanoy City
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11 AM on Tuesday, November 13, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department (West End and Humane) with Mahanoy City EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 1210 West Centre Street in Mahanoy Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Medic 6404 and Ambulance 4803 went responding and was advised of a car versus pole with one male injured. Engine 451 arrived on scene to find a passenger car versus pole with the pole completely sheared and the driver self-extricated. Car catches fire on I81
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 21, Luzerne County dispatched Dorrance Twp. Fire and Dorrance EMS to Interstate 81 at MM156 for a reported vehicle fire. Additional was provided that smoke was coming from a passenger car. Hazle Twp. Assistance Chief 141-4 (Zoshak) come up on radio and stated he came upon the vehicle fire and was now reporting a fully involved vehicle off the roadway and all occupants were accounted for. Dorrance Twp. Fire arrived on the scene and quickly extinguished the fire.

Tractor trailer t-bones pickup
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 7:30 PM on Tuesday, October 16, APTS Medic 11D was responding to an EMS call when it came upon a motor vehicle accident at State Route 924 and Interstate 81 in Hazle Township. Medic 11D was reporting a tractor trailer had broad-sided a pickup truck in the intersection. Hazle Twp. Fire, who was already operating at a large structure fire less than a mile away, was dispatched on the assist. Orwigsburg celebrates 125 years
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – On Saturday, October 13, the Friendship Hose Company #1 of Orwigsburg celebrated 125 years of service to the community. The festivities were kicked off with an apparatus parade through the borough. Residents came out to wave to firefighters and check out the units from throughout Schuylkill County. After the parade, visiting firefighters and residents came to the firehouse and enjoyed food and refreshments along with music provided by a disc jockey. Mahanoy City motorcycle accident
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 11:48 AM on Saturday, October 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Mahanoy City EMS, Shenandoah ALS, Humane Fire (Mahanoy City) and West End Rescue (Mahanoy City) to 350 Brandonville Road, Mahanoy Township, for a motor vehicle accident with injury. Engine 451 responded and was advised of a motorcycle accident with one female injured. Ambulance 4803 and Medic 64 were also advised of the additional and requested aeromedical be placed on standby. SUV takes out multiple poles outside Ashland
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:33 PM on Thursday September 13, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 4 (Butler Twp.), Ashland Rescue 38, Ashland EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 399 Peter Street in Butler Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 8:57 AM on Sunday, September 9, Hazle Township Fire & Rescue was dispatched with APTS Medic 11 to Interstate 81 in the area of mile marker 143 southbound for a reported vehicle accident with possible entrapment and fire. Medic 11B went responding and was advised of a 15-passenger van rolled over with unknown occupants trapped and the vehicle smoking. 141 Chief (Kostician) went responding and was told multiple calls were being received placing the incident somewhere in a three mile stretch. Multiple vacants destroyed in Mahanoy City
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 2:30AM on Monday, July 30, the Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched with Altamont RIT and Frackville Ladder 4320 to the area of North Main and East Raildroad Streets for the reported house fire. Chief 455 (Macleary) went responding and was advised the caller stated there was fire on the roof of a house behind the M&T Bank. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Fire & Film caught a job while traveling through Lehigh County yesterday. The fire was reported around 4:30 PM on Wednesday, July 25. Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 30 (Lower Macungie), 25 (Trexlertown) and 66 (Macungie EMS) to 1915 Aster Road in Lower Macungie Township for a dwelling fire.
