Coal Township hits second alarm
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Around 7:30 PM on Monday, January 29, Northumberland County sent out the first alarm assignment for a dwelling fire at the corner of Wabash Street and Sherman Street in Coal Township. First arriving units found heavy fire showing from the first floor. Brady Engine 151 arrived and began to stretch multiple lines. As other first alarm units were arriving the second alarm was transmitted bringing in companies from surrounding communities. House burns in West Mahanoy Township
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 12:47 PM on Wednesday, December 12, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the West Mahanoy Township Fire Department (William Penn, Shenandoah Heights and Altamont) with the Hookies and Columbia from the Shenandoah Fire Department to 1200 West Coal Street in the Township for a reported house fire. Shenandoah ALS was also included on the first alarm assignment. Shenandoah Medic 6401 pulled out of the station and saw smoke showing from 12 blocks away. Car crashes into car then house in Gilberton
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 6:00PM on Saturday, December 8, the Gilberton Fire Department was dispatched with Frackville BLS and Shenandoah ALS to Main Street in the area of the Continental Fire Company for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engines 44-10 and 44-15 arrived on scene with EMS to find a two vehicle accident in a parking lot with one of the vehicles into a house. All occupants were out of the vehicle upon arrival. Hazleton battles stubborn apartment building fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 11:15 on Sunday, December 2 Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched the Hazleton City Fire Department and APTS Medic 11 to the unit block of North Cedar Street for a reported residential structure fire. Chief 2 (Jones) went responding and was advised the center was receiving multiple calls for an apartment building fire with children possibly trapped at 53 North Cedar Street. Ladder 1 arrived and took the front of the building to find heavy smoke showing from a three story multi-family dwelling. Two jump from Pottsville house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11:15 AM on Saturday, November 17 the Pottsville Fire Department was dispatched to 101 North 16th Street in the City for a house fire with entrapment. Responding crews were advised of two people reportedly trapped in the house. Units arrived to find heavy fire to the rear of a three story duplex. Fire had consumed almost the entire “C” side of the house and heavy smoke was pushing from the windows. Two people had jumped from upper floors to escape from the heat and flames. Mt. Carmel fire hits fourth alarm
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – On Wednesday, November 14, the Mount Carmel fire department was dispatched to East Second street for a report of a dwelling fire. First arriving units found smoke pushing from four homes. A second alarm was immediately dispatched as crews began to attack the fire. The fire continued to progress and eventually a fourth alarm was struck bringing in multiple units from various counties. Trailer fire in Columbia County
COLUMBIA COUNTY, PA – Around 8:30AM Columbia County 9-1-1 dispatched Beaver Twp. Fire and Main Twp. Fire to 188 Scotch Valley Drive for a reported house fire. Nuremberg-Weston Fire was also requested for a full response. Crews arrived to find a working fire in a trailer. Main Twp.’s engine positioned in the driveway while Nurmberg’s engine took the address along Scotch Valley. A line was stretched through the front door to knock down the fire. Vehicle takes out tree, hits pole then house
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:45 PM on Monday, October 23, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 4, Stations 1 & 2 (Fountain Springs and Lavelle) along with Ashland EMS, Shenandoah ALS and Ashland Rescue to 400 Peter Street in Butler Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Responding units were advised of a vehicle into a house with injuries. Fire and EMS arrived to find a single vehicle accident. Heavy fire from Hazleton dwelling
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 11:30 AM on Sunday, October 14, Hazleton City Fire was dispatched to the area 1st Street and Wilbur Court for an investigation. When City Southside Station signed on for the additional, they were told a call was just received for a structure fire at 525 Wilbur Court. It was unknown if the building was occupied at the time.
