MAYDAY declared at four alarm fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 31, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department to 20 West Main Street in their borough for a reported commercial structure fire. The fire was reported to be at Schuylkill Gun Works, a local firearms retailer. First arriving crews found heavy fire showing from the rear of the gun shop which was located in the middle of a row in the downtown business district. Helmet Cam Video: One trapped in Ringtown MVA
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 3:45 PM on Monday, May 14, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Ringtown Valley Fire & Rescue, Ringtown Ambulance and Shenandoah ALS to Ringtown Boulevard and Pattersonville Road for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Medic 6401 responded and was advised of a two vehicle accident with at least two patients and one entrapped. Medic 6404 was quickly added to the assignment. While enroute, aeromedical was requested to be placed on standby. All flight services declined due to weather. Shenandoah worker sends one to burn center
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 9:00 AM on Sunday, March 11, 2012 Schuylkill County 911 sent the first alarm assignment to the 300 Block of West Columbus Street for the possible structure fire. The assignment included the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Shenandoah ALS. Chief 740 went responding and was advised that calls were being received reporting a fire on the second floor of the dwelling. Man falls into hole, seriously injured
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before noon on Tuesday, November 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Shenandoah ALS to 215 West New York Street in Shenandoah for a traumatic injury. Moments later, the rescue assignment was dispatched to assist with extrication. The assignment included the Shenandoah Fire Department and West End Rescue 993 from Mahanoy City. Medic 6403 went responding and was advised of a male in his sixties who feel into a hole in a garage on New York Street. West Hazleton fire goes two alarms
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 5 PM, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched West Hazleton Fire Station 24 and Hazle Township Fire Station 10 to 201 East Green Street in West Hazleton for a reported structure fire. Chief 244 arrived on the scene and found heavy fire showing from the Bravo side of a two and a half story duplex. The chief assumed command and requested a second alarm be struck.
