One killed, one seriously hurt in Hazle Twp. accident
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 2:30 PM on Friday, August 31, Hazle Township Fire and Rescue was dispatched with APTS Medic 11 to Route 924 in the area of Interstate 81 for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Rescue 101 went responding and was advised of at least one trapped and unresponsive. Multiple calls were being received and some stated one patient was possibly deceased. Two Medic 11 units were on the way and requested aeromedical be placed on standby for the injured. Hazle Township knocks commercial fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 19, Hazle Township Fire was dispatched with West Hazleton Fire to Greenview Meats on Winters Avenue for a reported commercial building fire. Crews responded and found fire showing from the rear of the structure. The fire was quickly knocked down within ten minutes but crews remained on scene for quite some time mopping up. Bathroom fire quickly doused in the patch
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 9:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the West Mahanoy Township Fire Department (William Penn, Shenandoah Heights and Altamont) as well as Squrt 745 from Shenandoah to 529 Mount Olive Boulevard in the Lost Creek section of the township for a dwelling fire. Altamont Engine 367 was the first unit responding and was advised of a fire in the bathroom. Helmet Cam Video: One trapped in Ringtown MVA
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 3:45 PM on Monday, May 14, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Ringtown Valley Fire & Rescue, Ringtown Ambulance and Shenandoah ALS to Ringtown Boulevard and Pattersonville Road for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Medic 6401 responded and was advised of a two vehicle accident with at least two patients and one entrapped. Medic 6404 was quickly added to the assignment. Large home destroyed by fire in Columbia County
COLUMBIA COUNTY, PA – Around 8:30 PM on Saturday, April 21 Columbia County dispatched Stations 270 (Numidia), 50 (Catawissa) and 350 (Aristes) to 2191 Mill Road in Locust Twp. for a reported dwelling fire. Units were quickly re-alerted for the working fire. First arriving crews found a large home set back in the woods with heavy fire throughout. A detached shed was also found to be on the fire on the B side of the structure. All occupants and pets had escaped the house prior to the fire department’s arrival. LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 15:00 hours on Thursday, February 9 Hazle Township Fire & Rescue were dispatched with APTS Medic 11 to State Route 924 in the area of Chestnut Hill Road for the motor vehicle accident with reported injuries. West Hazleton job knocked in minutes
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 9:30 PM on Saturday, September 3, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent out the box to 311 West Green Street in West Hazleton Borough for a reported working dwelling fire with entrapment. The first alarm assignment included Station 24 (West Hazleton), Station 10 (Hazle Township), West Hazleton BLS 583 and APTS Medic 11.
