LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 11:15 on Sunday, December 2 Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched the Hazleton City Fire Department and APTS Medic 11 to the unit block of North Cedar Street for a reported residential structure fire. Chief 2 (Jones) went responding and was advised the center was receiving multiple calls for an apartment building fire with children possibly trapped at 53 North Cedar Street. Convenience store hits second alarm in Girardville
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 7:25 PM on Wednesday November 28, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Girardville Fire Department to 146 North Second Street at the R&R Quik Mart for a reported commercial building fire. Girardville Police arrived on the scene shortly after the advisory and found a working fire from a convenient store attached to a two story building. Two jump from Pottsville house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11:15 AM on Saturday, November 17 the Pottsville Fire Department was dispatched to 101 North 16th Street in the City for a house fire with entrapment. Responding crews were advised of two people reportedly trapped in the house. Units arrived to find heavy fire to the rear of a three story duplex. Fire had consumed almost the entire “C” side of the house and heavy smoke was pushing from the windows. Two people had jumped from upper floors to escape from the heat and flames. Llewellyn fire destroys commercial building
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Early on Monday, November 12 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched fire units to the old China Inn on Route 209 in Llewellyn for a commercial structure fire. Units arrived on scene to find a working fire in the basement that was quickly progressing throughout the building. As hoses were being stretched crews experienced a water supply issue with a hydrant. Multiple tanker task forces were dispatched to the scene. Mt. Carmel fire hits fourth alarm
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – On Wednesday, November 14, the Mount Carmel fire department was dispatched to East Second street for a report of a dwelling fire. First arriving units found smoke pushing from four homes. A second alarm was immediately dispatched as crews began to attack the fire. The fire continued to progress and eventually a fourth alarm was struck bringing in multiple units from various counties. Trailer fire in Columbia County
COLUMBIA COUNTY, PA – Around 8:30AM Columbia County 9-1-1 dispatched Beaver Twp. Fire and Main Twp. Fire to 188 Scotch Valley Drive for a reported house fire. Nuremberg-Weston Fire was also requested for a full response. Crews arrived to find a working fire in a trailer. Main Twp.’s engine positioned in the driveway while Nurmberg’s engine took the address along Scotch Valley. A line was stretched through the front door to knock down the fire. Heavy fire from Hazleton dwelling
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 11:30 AM on Sunday, October 14, Hazleton City Fire was dispatched to the area 1st Street and Wilbur Court for an investigation. When City Southside Station signed on for the additional, they were told a call was just received for a structure fire at 525 Wilbur Court. It was unknown if the building was occupied at the time. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 12:15 AM on Saturday, September 15, the Girardville Fire Department along with Girardville EMS was dispatched to the area of 200 Pine Street in Girardville for a reported shed on fire. Girard Hose Engine 45-11 went responding with Chief 45-01 (Shearn) and was advised multiple calls were being received for a shed well off. Ashland hits second alarm for three dwellings
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:45 AM on Friday, September 14, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched District 38 (Ashland Fire) to 1222 Spruce Street in Ashland for a reported house fire. Ashland police were advised of the possible fire and Unit 41 arrived on the scene in seconds confirming a working fire. PD stated flames and smoke were showing from the residence. Ashland Asst. Frackville bagel shop burns
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A few minutes before 8:00 PM on Friday, September 7, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 advised PD Unit 71 (Frackville) that a report was received of a possible business building fire in the area of the bagel shop at Oak Street and Lehigh Avenue. The fire department was dispatched moments later. The first alarm assignment included Frackville Fire, Altamont Fire, Englewood Fire, Tower 456 (Citizens of Mahanoy City) and Frackville Ambulance.
