Four perish in Shenandoah fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 6:30 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Shenandoah ALS Medic 64 to 119 East Coal Street in Shenandoah for a reported house fire. All companies were quickly re-alerted for a working fire with entrapment. First arriving units found heavy fire from two row home units in the middle of the row. West Hazleton job knocked in minutes
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 9:30 PM on Saturday, September 3, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent out the box to 311 West Green Street in West Hazleton Borough for a reported working dwelling fire with entrapment. The first alarm assignment included Station 24 (West Hazleton), Station 10 (Hazle Township), West Hazleton BLS 583 and APTS Medic 11. Hazle Tower-Ladder 107 and Engine 102 were on the street immediately upon dispatch and were advised of multiple reports a working fire with people possibly trapped inside. Schnecksville battles car fire
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Station 22 (Schnecksville) found a fully involved car fire in a parking lot at the intersection of Levans Road and Coffeetown Road in North Whitehall Township just before 3:00 AM on Tuesday, July 5. Tanker 2221 arrived on the scene and stretched a hand line to knock down the fire. After the bulk of the fire was knocked down, a foam line was placed in service to extinguish a few stubborn hot spots. Crews remained on scene for approximately an hour. SWT rescues one with serious injuries
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters and rescue workers were summoned to the intersection of Mauch Chunk Road and Overlook Road for a motor vehicle accident with rescue around 6:45 AM on Monday, June 20. South Whitehall Township Stations 32 (Woodlawn) and 62 (Cetronia EMS) were dispatched along with Rescue 1141 (Greenwalds). Chief 3201 went responding and was advised of a two vehicle accident with one vehicle on its roof with one person inside and unconscious. Fire damages school, cancels classes
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A fire that broke out inside a school building in Mahanoy City caused significant damage throughout, cancelling classes. Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department with the Altamont Fire Company for their Rapid Intervention Team and Rush and Ryan Township fire companies for their tankers to 1 Golden Bear Drive at the Mahanoy Area School District in Mahanoy Township for a possible structure fire around 7:30 AM on Monday, May 30, 2011. West Hazleton fire goes two alarms
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 5 PM, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched West Hazleton Fire Station 24 and Hazle Township Fire Station 10 to 201 East Green Street in West Hazleton for a reported structure fire.
