One injured in Brandonville rollover

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 8:34 AM on Tuesday, April 24, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 advised East Union Township PD Unit 68 to check the area of State Route 924 a mile from Brandonville for a reported motor vehicle accident with rollover.  The fire assignment was then sent out which included Sheppton-Oneida Fire, Brandonville Fire and Shenandoah ALS. Sheppton Engine-Rescue 9-10 responded and was advised the accident would be located at 924 and Pumping Station Road with one vehicle overturned.  9-10 arrived on the scene to find a passenger vehicle on its roof against a pole with one female walking wounded. … Continue reading →

Four perish in Shenandoah fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 6:30 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Shenandoah ALS Medic 64 to 119 East Coal Street in Shenandoah for a reported house fire.  All companies were quickly re-alerted for a working fire with entrapment. Shenandoah worker sends one to burn center

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 9:00 AM on Sunday, March 11, 2012 Schuylkill County 911 sent the first alarm assignment to the 300 Block of West Columbus Street for the possible structure fire.  The assignment included the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Shenandoah ALS. Chief 740 went responding and was advised that calls were being received reporting a fire on the second floor of the dwelling.  A few moments later, the chief was advised that police were on scene reporting smoke showing.  The fire was re-dispatched as a working fire. Columbia frees one from van in Shenandoah

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 3:30PM on Sunday, December 4, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Shenandoah Fire and EMS to the area of Redner’s Market on the Gold Star Highway for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Medic 6404 responded and was advised of a multiple vehicle accident with injuries.  There was no additional information on injuries and everyone was reported to be out of the vehicles.  Engine 751 and Squirt 745 responded as well.  Shenandoah Police were also advised that callers were reporting one of the involved parties fled the scene through the parking lot of the shopping center. Man falls into hole, seriously injured

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before noon on Tuesday, November 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Shenandoah ALS to 215 West New York Street in Shenandoah for a traumatic injury.  Moments later, the rescue assignment was dispatched to assist with extrication.  The assignment included the Shenandoah Fire Department and West End Rescue 993 from Mahanoy City.
