LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 15:00 hours on Thursday, February 9 Hazle Township Fire & Rescue were dispatched with APTS Medic 11 to State Route 924 in the area of Chestnut Hill Road for the motor vehicle accident with reported injuries. Rescue Engine 103 with Chief 101 immediately responded to the scene. Freeland house burns on Christmas
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 10:30 PM on Christmas night, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm assignment to 425 Alvin Street in Freeland Borough for a reported dwelling fire. Most of the first alarm units were already on scene of a multiple alarm dwelling fire in neighboring Butler Township. Non-essential units quickly picked up and responded to Freeland. Hazleton makes quick work of apartment fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 11:25 AM on Tuesday, December 13, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazleton City Fire and Medic 11 to 359 West Broad Street in the City for a reported structure fire. Chief 2 and Ladder 1 immediately responded along with Engines 2 and 4. While responding, units were updated that police officers were on scene confirming a working fire. Columbia frees one from van in Shenandoah
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 3:30PM on Sunday, December 4, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Shenandoah Fire and EMS to the area of Redner’s Market on the Gold Star Highway for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Medic 6404 responded and was advised of a multiple vehicle accident with injuries. There was no additional information on injuries and everyone was reported to be out of the vehicles. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before noon on Tuesday, November 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Shenandoah ALS to 215 West New York Street in Shenandoah for a traumatic injury. Moments later, the rescue assignment was dispatched to assist with extrication. The assignment included the Shenandoah Fire Department and West End Rescue 993 from Mahanoy City. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 18, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched units to Church Road and State Road in Ryan Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 4:30 PM on Wednesday, August 17 Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched units to the intersection of Golden Key Road and Schochary Road in Lynn Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Stations 17 (New Tripoli) and 71 (Northwestern EMS) were dispatched. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Hazmat crews from Allentown were dispatched late in the morning on August 9 to investigate a suspicious powder found in an envelope. The Allentown Fire Department was dispatched around 11:00 AM for a report of an unknown white powder found in an envelope received at a local business. The business, Dorward Wholesale, was located at 1130 Hanover Avenue in the City. Engine 5 responded and staged in a nearby parking lot while the Hazardous Materials Unit was requested. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – After 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 11 (Greenwalds) and 62 (Cetronia) to Orefield Road and Cedar Crest Boulevard for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 1112 and Medic 6290 responded to the scene and arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one vehicle in the roadway and one vehicle into the nearby woods. Tractor trailer lands on its side
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A tractor trailer carrying cases of water flipped onto its side in Upper Macungie Township around 6:30 AM on Thursday, July 21. Chief 5601 came upon the accident on Nestle Way and notified Lehigh County 9-1-1 that he would need Fire and EMS services on the scene. Station 8 (Fogelsville), 56 (Upper Macungie) and 62 (Cetronia EMS) were dispatched for the MVA with rollover.
