Victim takes off during water rescue
NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – At 15:15 hours on Tuesday, July 19, water rescue personnel were requested to the Lehigh River in Northampton Borough for a water rescue. Fire 42 (Northampton), Fire 47 (Lehigh Township), EMS 49 (Northampton Regional) and Lehigh County Station 40 (Whitehall – Cementon) were dispatched. 4261 was on scene with a male in a white shirt in the river who had submerged under the water. SWT rescues one with serious injuries
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters and rescue workers were summoned to the intersection of Mauch Chunk Road and Overlook Road for a motor vehicle accident with rescue around 6:45 AM on Monday, June 20. South Whitehall Township Stations 32 (Woodlawn) and 62 (Cetronia EMS) were dispatched along with Rescue 1141 (Greenwalds). Car crashes into Muhlenberg home, neighborhood evacuated
BERKS COUNTY, PA – Firefighters and rescue personnel had their hands full on Friday, June 10. Responders were dispatched around 2:45 PM to the intersection of Kutztown Road and Florin Avenue in Muhlenberg Township for a motor vehicle accident with a car into a house. Companies 10 (Goodwill) and 560 (Muhlenberg EMS) with Rescue 10 (Temple) were on the original dispatch. Crews search Lehigh River for missing woman
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Rescuers from multiple fire companies worked together to search for a missing woman along the Lehigh River in North Whitehall Township. At 8:25 PM on Wednesday, May 26, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 12 (Laurys Station), 22 (Schnecksville), 67 (Northern Valley EMS), North Whitehall Rescue and Northampton County Station 47 (Lehigh Township) to the Treichlers Bridge on Route 145 for a swift water rescue. NOVA holds annual open house
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Members of the community came together on Sunday, May 15, to enjoy a fun-filled day at the Northern Valley Ambulance Open House. Attendees were treated to demonstrations, games, food and other information. Starting at 1PM, children were able to play games within the station or go outside and look at a group of fire trucks and ambulances. In one demonstration, members of the Neffs Volunteer Fire Company raised their aerial and rappelled from the bucket. One injured in Washington Twp. crash
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Station 24 (Slatington) were dispatched shortly after 9 PM to the area of the Slate Bowl Bowling Alley on PA Route 873 for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Northern Valley EMS (Medic 67) was also dispatched. Chief 2401 (K. Weaver) was advised of a two vehicle accident in the area with at least one person injured and the vehicles still in the roadway. One trapped in South Whitehall
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 5:30 PM, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 11 (Greenwalds), 32 (Woodlawn) and EMS 62 (Cetronia) to 15th Street and the US 22 interchange for a motor vehicle accident with rescue. Chief 3201 went responding and was advised of a two car MVA with one person trapped with a head injury. Rescue 1141 and Engine 3212 arrived on the scene to find one car with heavy damage and one person needing to be extricated.
