Schnecksville battles car fire

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Station 22 (Schnecksville) found a fully involved car fire in a parking lot at the intersection of Levans Road and Coffeetown Road in North Whitehall Township just before 3:00 AM on Tuesday, July 5. Tanker 2221 arrived on the scene and stretched a hand line to knock down the fire.  After the bulk of the fire was knocked down, a foam line was placed in service to extinguish a few stubborn hot spots.   Crews remained on scene for approximately an hour.  The Pennsylvania State Police were requested to assist in the investigation. Allen firefighters find garage well off

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – Just before 6 PM on Tuesday, June 21, Northampton County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Stations 45 (Allen Township) and 46 (East Allen Township) to the area of Howertown Road and Nor-Bath Boulevard in Allen Township for a garage fire. Camden, NJ fire hits 12 alarms

CAMDEN, NJ – Firefighters from the City of Camden along with multiple departments throughout New Jersey gathered in the extreme heat to battle a warehouse fire that spread to multiple houses and other buildings. Firefighters were called to Chestnut Street and Orchard Street around 4:15 PM for an abandoned tire factory on fire.  The fire quickly escalated to three alarms with heavy fire through the roof. Warehouse fire goes two alarms

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Nancy Run (Station 14) and Bethlehem Township (Station 17) were dispatched with Bethlehem Township EMS at 7:20 PM on Wednesday, June 01, to 2600 Brodhead Road in Bethlehem Township for a commercial structure fire.  The dispatch had given a report of a possible fork lift fire in a warehouse.   Moments after the initial dispatch, Northampton County 9-1-1 alerted responders that police were reporting smoke showing from the Nazareth Pike, approximately a mile away.   Chief 1751 went responding with a short response time and reported heavy smoke showing.  Northampton 9-1-1 relayed to the … Continue reading

Fire damages school, cancels classes

Bethlehem Twp. knocks fire down in minutes

West Hazleton fire goes two alarms

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA –  Shortly before 5 PM, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched West Hazleton Fire Station 24 and Hazle Township Fire Station 10 to 201 East Green Street in West Hazleton for a reported structure fire.   Chief 244 arrived on the scene and found heavy fire showing from the Bravo side of a two and a half story duplex.  The chief assumed command and requested a second alarm be struck.   West Hazleton Engine 242 arrived and took the front of the building followed by Hazle Tower 107.  Crews stretched an inch and three quarter line and began an … Continue reading

Firefighters make quick work of Catasauqua fire

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 2 PM on Friday, firefighters from Stations 2 (Catasauqua) and 18 (North Catasauqua) were dispatched to 730 Third Street in Catasauqua for a dwelling fire. First responding units were advised the caller was reporting smoke and flames in the attic.  Lehigh County 9-1-1 was also advising they were receiving multiple calls reporting the fire. Crews arrived on-scene to find a 2.5 story apartment building with smoke showing from the roof.  A second alarm was struck for manpower. Crews respond to barn fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Carbon and Schuylkill Counties responded to reports of a barn fire Sunday afternoon. Crews were dispatched to the intersection of Blue Mountain Drive and Fort Franklin Road in West Penn Twp., Schuylkill County. Responding units were advised of a caller reporting hay on fire within the barn. First arriving officers found a barn with smoke showing. The ladder and an additional engine from Tamaqua were requested. A tanker fill site was established on SR 309 just south of the SR 895 intersection. Slatington 3-Alarm fire

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from three counties spent the afternoon of Wednesday, March 30 battling a three alarm dwelling fire in Slatington Borough. Lehigh County 9-1-1 began dispatching units at 12:12 PM to 562 West Franklin Street for a reported fire. The initial alarm included Station 24 (Slatington), Engine 2911 (Walnutport) and Tanker 621 (Emerald). Chief 2401 (Weaver) went responding to the scene and immediately requested a second alarm as he could see a column of smoke from across town.
