LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 11:25 AM on Tuesday, December 13, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazleton City Fire and Medic 11 to 359 West Broad Street in the City for a reported structure fire. Chief 2 and Ladder 1 immediately responded along with Engines 2 and 4.  While responding, units were updated that police officers were on scene confirming a working fire.  Chief 2 arrived on scene with smoke showing from a three story end-of-row building containing businesses on the first floor and apartments on the others.  The chief established Hazleton Fire Command.  Reports of possible entrapment were soon presented.  … Continue reading →
