Flames destroy garage, spread to Brandonville home
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:15 AM on Sunday, May 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm to the area of 57 Main Boulevard in the Brandonville section of East Union Township for a reported garage on fire. Chief 09-02 went responding and was advised of two calls reporting a garage fire, one caller reported hearing a bang then saw fire from the garage. Hazleton battles stubborn apartment building fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 11:15 on Sunday, December 2 Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched the Hazleton City Fire Department and APTS Medic 11 to the unit block of North Cedar Street for a reported residential structure fire. Chief 2 (Jones) went responding and was advised the center was receiving multiple calls for an apartment building fire with children possibly trapped at 53 North Cedar Street. Ladder 1 arrived and took the front of the building to find heavy smoke showing from a three story multi-family dwelling. Conveyor catches fire in St. Clair shop
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 2:45 PM on Monday, November 26 the Saint Clair Fire Department was dispatched with Saint Clair EMS to 300 Wade Road in their borough for a reported commercial building fire. Chief 700A quickly signed on the air and was advised of a conveyor on fire in the building. The Chief advised communications he had a working fire with smoke showing while he was responding. Hazle Twp. finds fire showing from apartment building
LUZERNE COUNTY – At 4:57 PM on Tuesday, October 16, Hazle Township Fire, Harwood Fire and APTS Medic 11 were dispatched to 1143 Harwood Road in Hazle Township for a reported commercial structure fire. Hazle Township Assistant Chief 141-4 (Zoshak) went responding and was advised of a three story multi-family apartment building receiving multiple calls for smoke coming from the building. The chief arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire with heavy smoke showing and requested an additional tone for the working fire. Harwood Road Command was established. Frackville bagel shop burns
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A few minutes before 8:00 PM on Friday, September 7, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 advised PD Unit 71 (Frackville) that a report was received of a possible business building fire in the area of the bagel shop at Oak Street and Lehigh Avenue. The fire department was dispatched moments later. The first alarm assignment included Frackville Fire, Altamont Fire, Englewood Fire, Tower 456 (Citizens of Mahanoy City) and Frackville Ambulance. Hazleton makes quick work of apartment fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 11:25 AM on Tuesday, December 13, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazleton City Fire and Medic 11 to 359 West Broad Street in the City for a reported structure fire. Chief 2 and Ladder 1 immediately responded along with Engines 2 and 4. While responding, units were updated that police officers were on scene confirming a working fire.
