Commercial fire draws crews from three counties
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 1:08 PM, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 49, Station 2 (McAdoo Inc.) to Lofty Road in Kline Township for a reported building on fire. Carbon Engine 2911 (Trescow) and Luzerne Medic 11 (APTS) were also on the initial alarm. First responding crews were advised of multiple reports of an old building on fire on Lofty Road, it was unsure where exactly the building was located. Garage burns in Blythe Township
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 4:15 PM on Sunday, February 24 Schuylkill County dispatched Fire Districts 2 (Kaska and Cumbola), 32 (Walker Twp.) and 54 (New Philadelphia) to 1120 Mountain Road at Kuperavage Coal Company in Blythe Township for a reported working commercial garage fire. New Philly Engine 54-11 was the first apparatus on the scene and confirmed the working fire with smoke showing from the building. A crosslay was stretched into the building a fire attack was initiated. Engine 54-12 arrived staged behind 54-11 while Kaska Engine 2-10 secured a supply line from a nearby hydrant. Frackville bagel shop burns
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A few minutes before 8:00 PM on Friday, September 7, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 advised PD Unit 71 (Frackville) that a report was received of a possible business building fire in the area of the bagel shop at Oak Street and Lehigh Avenue. The fire department was dispatched moments later. The first alarm assignment included Frackville Fire, Altamont Fire, Englewood Fire, Tower 456 (Citizens of Mahanoy City) and Frackville Ambulance. Hazle Township knocks commercial fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 19, Hazle Township Fire was dispatched with West Hazleton Fire to Greenview Meats on Winters Avenue for a reported commercial building fire. Crews responded and found fire showing from the rear of the structure. The fire was quickly knocked down within ten minutes but crews remained on scene for quite some time mopping up. MAYDAY declared at four alarm fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 31, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department to 20 West Main Street in their borough for a reported commercial structure fire. The fire was reported to be at Schuylkill Gun Works, a local firearms retailer. First arriving crews found heavy fire showing from the rear of the gun shop which was located in the middle of a row in the downtown business district. Commercial building burns to ground in Cressona
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A fire broke out at a textile facility in Cressona around 6:30 PM on Saturday, November 26. Arriving crews found heavy fire showing from the building. Multiple hand lines and master streams were immediately put into service. Command requested a tanker task force to supplement the water supply. An additional ladder was called into the scene for an extra elevated master stream. The fire eventually led to the entire building collapsing. Click here to view the entire photo gallery

Warehouse fire goes two alarms
NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Nancy Run (Station 14) and Bethlehem Township (Station 17) were dispatched with Bethlehem Township EMS at 7:20 PM on Wednesday, June 01, to 2600 Brodhead Road in Bethlehem Township for a commercial structure fire. The dispatch had given a report of a possible fork lift fire in a warehouse. Moments after the initial dispatch, Northampton County 9-1-1 alerted responders that police were reporting smoke showing from the Nazareth Pike, approximately a mile away.
