SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Two cars collide, multiple teenagers are trapped in the vehicles, one teenager is thrown from the back seat through the windshield – she is dead on the hood. A distraught mother rushes into the scene as first responders arrive. The police arrest the driver of one vehicle, he was driving while impaired and more than likely created this disaster. SUV snaps pole in Black Creek
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 9:00 AM on Sunday, April 7, Nuremberg Fire & EMS were dispatched to the Tomhicken Road in the area of Pine Street in Black Creek Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 582 with Chief 581 responded as well as Ambulance 980. Units arrived on scene to find a SUV on its side in the woods. Mahanoy City strikes second alarm on rowhome fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 2:00 AM on April 6 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department, Frackville for their ladder, Mahanoy City EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 329 East Centre Street in Mahanoy City for a reported house fire. First responding units were advised that multiple calls were received for smoke and flames coming from the first floor of a rowhome. LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, Hazleton City Fire and APTS Medic 11 was dispatched to 411 Kiefer Avenue in the city for a reported house on fire. First arriving units found heavy smoke filling the street. Chief 2 arrived and assumed command of the incident. Engine 3 pulled past the residence so Ladder 1 could take the address. Jeep crashes on Nuremberg Mountain
SCHUYLILL COUNTY, PA – At 4:10 PM on Sunday, February 10, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Nuremberg Fire and EMS with Shenandoah ALS to 573 Mountain Road in North Union Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Medic 6402 called responding and was advised of a single vehicle accident involving a Jeep that had rolled multiple times with a female laying along the road complaining of neck pain. Car crashes into car then house in Gilberton
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 6:00PM on Saturday, December 8, the Gilberton Fire Department was dispatched with Frackville BLS and Shenandoah ALS to Main Street in the area of the Continental Fire Company for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engines 44-10 and 44-15 arrived on scene with EMS to find a two vehicle accident in a parking lot with one of the vehicles into a house. All occupants were out of the vehicle upon arrival. Hazleton battles stubborn apartment building fire
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 11:15 on Sunday, December 2 Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched the Hazleton City Fire Department and APTS Medic 11 to the unit block of North Cedar Street for a reported residential structure fire. Chief 2 (Jones) went responding and was advised the center was receiving multiple calls for an apartment building fire with children possibly trapped at 53 North Cedar Street. Conveyor catches fire in St. Clair shop
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 2:45 PM on Monday, November 26 the Saint Clair Fire Department was dispatched with Saint Clair EMS to 300 Wade Road in their borough for a reported commercial building fire. Chief 700A quickly signed on the air and was advised of a conveyor on fire in the building. The Chief advised communications he had a working fire with smoke showing while he was responding. Deadly accident shuts down Route 61
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 12:30 PM on Wednesday, November 14, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 4 (Fountain Springs and Lavelle), Ashland Rescue 38-50, Ashland EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 770 Fountain Street in Butler Township for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. First responding units were advised of an accident involving a car under a porch and a person pinned underneath a mail delivery truck.
