Heights house catches fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 10:43 PM on Tuesday, April 9, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the West Mahanoy Township Fire Department (Shenandoah Heights, William Penn and Altamont), the Shenandoah Fire Department for Squrt 745 and Squad 741, Englewood Fire for their Rapid Intervention Team and Shenandoah ALS to 191 Ohio Avenue in the Shenandoah Heights section of the township for a reported house fire.  The call was quickly upgraded to a fire with entrapment. Bathroom fire quickly doused in the patch

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 9:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the West Mahanoy Township Fire Department (William Penn, Shenandoah Heights and Altamont) as well as Squrt 745 from Shenandoah to 529 Mount Olive Boulevard in the Lost Creek section of the township for a dwelling fire. Altamont Engine 367 was the first unit responding and was advised of a fire in the bathroom.  William Penn Engine 888 and Chief 889 arrived on the scene and found heavy smoke in the area and confirmed a working fire.
